Oh and i'm 30,so i have got my own mind with my own opinions, sorry they don't match yours but that's life.
He has no alligence to us, he doesnt support saints, can you onestly say you would turn down quadupling your wages, training with better player and in a higher league if u were at lets say derby or reading
But like i said above i wish he cudda stayed a little longer, but we move on, hes no big loss at the moment
Why have a go at him for wanting to better himself? I wish him good luck and hope one day see him score for England.
Its not about the move, anyone would eventually move on to one of the top clubs given the chance. It's the way he went about it.
I love saints with all my heart, and would never even consider supporting another club. But even though i'm an avid saints fan, if i was 17, and got offered however many thousands of pounds to play at a top 4 club i would have bitten your hand off. He isn't even a saints fan! I don't understand how you can hate him for that. He's right when he says "what if i get an injury"? I have heard so many stories of people that nearly made it as pro's, but got injured. Why wouldn't he take a mega bucks deal when it's there? And no matter what we think about staying and learning for another year, who wouldnt want to train with Arshavin, Van persie, walcott etc. etc.
That's not why it annoys me! if he went in a better way and let it all just go on behind the scenes then i'd say good luck to him,i'm not annoyed that he went to arsenal,i'm annoyed at how he and his dad went about it,i don't know why it's so hard to understand what i'm saying.
There are better ways to go about it though, that's what we're are saying,of course he wants to better himself, that's understandable but i'm sorry i just can't understand the way he went about it and i'm sure if you asked Cortese about it he would say he was disappointed in how he handled it all.
Could not disagree more - good luck to him; fully understand how the lad could have his head turned; no reason to abuse him. When do these school holidays end?
How did they go about it then? Apart from one interview he gave saying he feels he's good enough to play in the Prem right now (whilst saying how much he likes playing for saints and thanking the fans for supporting him), what do you know as fact happened behind the scenes? As far as I'm aware, he didn't miss one training session. Played in pre-season games. Even went and watched Saints play at Eastleigh when not in the squad. Not really in the same league as other players in the recent past like Kenwynne Jones who refused to even turn up for training before joining Sunderland. What 17 year old isn't going to take a lot of advice from their father, especially one who was a leading professional in the same job? Saints had no control over Chamberlain Snr. Suppose some will bring up the fact he signed a 3 year contract with Saints. Thank god he did !! If he hadn't, he could have left for less than £1m in compensation payments under the FA rules.
Lol shall we give up? i'm just waiting for the next 'you gotta understand that the kid wanted to better himself'
Why do people want to laugh at him? He earnt this club that we all love alot of money and helped us gain promotion. He is a special talent and deserves to play at the highest level to progress himself even more. I begrudge him nothing and feel it's quite sad that people are hating on him.
Remember when he was here he played well for us ,we sold him and made a lot of money out of it ,and we are top of the championship leauge so still doing very well without him.
Yes i hate him with a passion,if i have one ambition in life it's to hunt him and slap him silly. This is sarcasm.
If young Alex values money as more important than the thrill of playing week in week out in front of 20,000 people then more fool him. I care little about him, can't wish him bad because of the 40%, but won't wish him well. And his dads a ****.
