Why are you guys getting so uppity about people disagreeing with you? You seem to have already formed a little "us against the other saints fans" band of brothers. Tone it down.
It amazes me how someone gets called a kid or someone who isn't mature because there opinion differs! i might have wrote stuff on here that you disagree with but at no point have i sunk as low as to hurl insults.I could quite easily do that but i think it shows my maturity that i don't.
Oh christ alive,we know you disagree with us and that's fine but it's us that are getting moaned at and called kids because of what we wrote when quite simply all we are writing is our opinions.I've said before if you support chamberlain then good for you but i don't so good for me yeh?
We haven't started a " band of brothers" as u say. We have an opinion and you have yours. But for some reason yours is right and ours is wrong. And now because of that we are little school kids!
Sorry to see Oxo go, but SFC got paid well , and while he was with us, Alex played his heart out. Good luck for your future, kiddo....
Nothing against the lad,and wish him well,so hopefully he gets sold to Man City/Barcelona/Real Madrid for 50M and we get another 20M from the sell on clause. It wouldnt suprise me if a deal was done between Saints and Alex when he signed a new contract for us,that we would let him go if Arsenal matched our valuation of him during the summer. The transfer saga dragged on so long because Arsenal wouldnt reach the fee we wanted. If he hadnt signed the new deal we would probably have got no more than 5M for him.
How anyone can cheer a bloke one week and totally dislike him the next is a mystery. I agree with those that say he went about things wrong, I also agree his father is a total ****** to boot. Whether or not the move is the right one will depend on his development from here. He was good for us there is no doubt about it. He did contribute quite a lot to our promotion. The guy deserves credit for that. You all have to accept that people do have different ideas and different preferences. He used Southampton to further his career it is no different to you guys taking on a job to do the same. Just think of the school, college you went to.....if you had had a chance to take your degree there or perhaps an alternative was Cambridge or Oxford would you have stayed? would you not want to go to a better place.........Now we come to that decision making process yet again....now or later. What ever happens now there is no going back.......he shouldn't be reviled because he didn't choose to stay. He made the decision and that's that. I personally think it wasn't the right one........but I guess I would say that as I'm kind of biased.........What about you?
Didn't like the way Alex went to the newspapers, but I think he was naive and didn't realise how it would look. However, he gave us 100% and I'm sure he would have continued to do so if the deal fell through. Seems a good lad. We came out with a nice pot of gold as well. Wish him no real harm, but hope he has a smidge of regret one day when we do well. If he plays for England I will be proud he was a Saints lad and hope that Wenger doesn't get all the glory.
Yes i agree and can someone tell me why i'm a kid because of what i wrote? apart from the bad grammar
I honestly think Alex was a puppet and his strings were being pulled by his dad and his agent. Good luck to the lad, he is going to be a great player, I hope that he saves the blushes for Arsene Wenger and can fill the gap that Nasri has made, I think he has it in him. Also some members on this forum are far too damning of other people's comments, I've fallen foul of it with my (needless) CONCERN of Rickie Lambert breaking his duck, getting the monkey off his back etc. And people were telling me I am an idiot. Which I am happy to tell you I am not. It's a bit needless and isn't good for generating debate. Bring back Minging, that way people can let out their angst against him.
Guys and girls for goodness sake......Can you not have a discussion without all the name calling? If you start being personal with each other all that happens is you alert us!! Then if it gets out of hand we have to take action we do not want to take. Now come on ladies and gents lets keep the discussions non personal please!! BT
At last someone who doesn't just hurl insults.I don't really care what happens to his future but that is simply because of the way it all unfolded,i have no malice towards him or indeed do i rarely think about him now,all i wanted was for him and his dad to show a bit of respect to the club that i love,i think that's the least the saints deserved for 10 years of helping him move along in his career,he used our facilities, our coaches, our management team and probably a lot more and when i saw him in the papers that day i just lost all the fondness i had for him, maybe it's just my over-thinking about the situation but it really really irritated me and i find it hard that any fan wouldn't of been disappointed in him,but each to their own,we're all different but i think it's harsh to get called a kid because you have a valid opinion, you may of noticed it really gets my back up haha.
While I'm in the camp of he went about it poorly but I wish him well and have no harsh feelings towards him (Infact I'm rather hoping he comes on for arsenal tonight itv1 for anyone who's interested). This board at the moment is a bit daft and the way posters are throwing childish insults at saint adam and co in this thread and in others is stupid, if you don't agree say so constructively without the petty and incredibly unfunny "when do the holidays end" or just don't say anything at all! I believe we did a poll a while back and at least half this board is under 20 so lay off with the ageism
