I am afraid I have to disagree. A team's strength is always in relation to others. I am not sure many people would agree with you that the current team was better than the 2014 one. Of course Suarez was an integral part of that team and we cannot remove the key player from that team as it doesn't then make any sense. Its like saying Barcelona is not as good without Messi or Real Madrid of 2015/6 isn't quite that strong without Ronaldo. It is basically how that key player make others tick and transform the whole into a great team.

I'd back this Klopp team to beat that Rodgers' team, tbh, even with Suarez.

Lets be honest here Klopp is to blame here because we knew how he would play the game as he is very predictable with his style of football. Liverpool are a great team and in my view would be even better with a coach who has more game plans in his locker.....Liverpool would beat the swans 8 times out of 10 quite easily but Klopp should know that a team at the bottom with a new manager who has improved the results will fight tooth and nail for a draw let alone a win and if that takes parking the bus to do it then carlos will and it worked.....It was bad planning by Klopp from start to finish as he could see after 10 minutes the way we we set up to play......A bad day at the office and lessons must be taken onboard when you play a team at the bottom fighting for their lives....

Yet we still created 2 very good chances and 2/3 good chances in that game. Salah volley, Mane volley, Firmino header, Lallana miss, Ings effort, VVD header. All of these on another day could have been scored and we win 4-1.

Klopp has his style and wants to stick to that. Call it arrogant, call it foolish or call it self belief. What ever you think of it he has a way he sees football should be played and wants his team to play that way knowing that the majority of the time it’ll work and we’ll win (hence why were in CL knockouts and in the mix for top 4. Exavtly same as mourinho. He has a style that will win him games but when they don’t win, will be rodiculided for.

Your style is only an issue when you dont win and it makes you look foolish but why would a manager change from what they know and has worked for them? Maybe they should have diff options for diff opposition etc but then you need the personnel to be able to play diff systems and styles and only the very best can adapt like that and we don’t have the very best players in the world.

Aa some others have said now the dust has settled, it was a bad day in the office and we played poorly. But, we defended well on the whole, their goal was just pure luck that ball fell nicely after a dodgy rebound and **** first touch from their CB. Although we didn’t create lots and lots of brilliant clear cut chances, we created enough to win that game despite the fact we all agree we played badly.

18 games unbeaten and only 3 defeats in the league. It’s hardly a time to start worrying. Just need to go on another run like we did after the spurs game now. If we can continue to do that, with the help of VVD tightening things up at the back, we should be able to turn some of those silly draws into wins.

As ever it is a matter of opinion (that's why we love football :)

For me the SAS in Rodgers's team would make mince meat of our defence. But more importantly that team would swat away the lesser teams against whom we are currently struggling.

Possibly, but history proves we had an identical record with this team, as we did with Rodgers' team at this same point in the season, despite having to deal with 8 extra CL games under Klopp.

dead right

We must see that in 2013/14 our run went from game week 22 to game week 34 (11 games)

we are now past game week 24 and have the same points.

Lets put this in perspective. In 2013/14 we were top for christmas. We lost two games on the bounce v cheslea and city (both away) and dropped 6 points. we then drew ONE game v villa 2-2 and went on that run.

from top of the league in 2013/14 at christmas we dropped only 8 points til game week 35.

we are LEVEL after 24 games with that year.... level... thats how competitive this league is. Theres 3 side ahead of us and spurs breathing down our necks.

From here the future is unwritten but with 14 games to go we need 10 wins, just to be sure of 4th place. thats scary how competitive a league it is.

Sure the SAS team with two lethal strikers would rip our defense apart. they ripped a lot of defences apart but I'd back our own front 3 to do the same to that 2013/14 sides defence.

The issue we have is creating genuine chances for that front 3 now. We need space and teams attacking us to create.

Lets see what happens. 10 games is a big ask now. It should be 9, there are 9 winnable games plaus some in the fixutres but this is about faith in the team and are be bothered.

the ideal is spurs or cheslea implode and make this a lot easier. Maybe I've more faith in thier quality to not to do that than i have in our quality to get 10 wins out of 14.

47+10x3 = 77 points. I think 76 should be safe and maybe 75. until spurs drop more points i wouldn't bet on the threshold being lower this season.

Why say it in three words when you can use one hundred and seventy-five!
