I'm slightly confused if he's failed a medical - Surely we would have known that there was a high risk of him failing a medical before we pulled out of the Gorkss deal..

Oh my god, we havn't signed someone I hadn't heard of yesterday.

THIS IS A MAJOR DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CLUB IS GOING TO DIE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently we've been docked 12 points because the failure to buy a centre back. THIS IS WORSE THAN THE HOLOCUST!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
All joking aside we have really stuffed up here even if gorrks was good to get us out the championship nothing much would have got passed font and him! I have to say I am pleased this guy isn't coming we can do so much better! Need to dig a little deeper into them pockets mr Cortese and get another defensive general not an average performer who can only perform with a decent player along side WHEN FIT!

It's hardly the end of the world, but you have to admit that the centre back saga is starting to get a little bizarre. Jamal was in, until we called it off at the last moment. Gorkss was in, until he wasn't, and then he was in again before we called it off to get Fontaine, a signing that we've now called off.

How much of that is reality and how much is the media doing its thing, I don't know. But it's been silly even for silly season.

We haven't called Fontaine off, he failed his medical.
 
Why is it silly? Only if people are stupid enough to listen to rumour instead of just waiting for facts.

I'm sure there are plenty of targets and deals that fall through that fans never ever hear about and that's probably a good thing.

Anyway, I'm sure the club have other options and there is still a week to go in the transfer window. Personally, I'm happy with what we've got right now anyway in central defence, unless the club thinks Jaidi is crocked for a long time?
