Probably. Does the bid come from Darnbrough or from Ehab? Who is sending the offer? Presumably LD as Head of Recruitment is the one who is putting the offers in? Ehab just signs the cheques off right, he doesn't do any actual talking does he? Right? RIGHT?
Bore are a prime example of how to end up owing £100m to your **** of an owner and be stuck with the bastard forever.
Mckenna wont be leaving aberdeen at all...unless a stupid high bid was made. Press up here say aberdeen dont need to sell and are looking to strenghen for a push for euro sport
All joking aside, considering where we are I don't think a 21 year old defender from the SPL is what we need.
I don't really understand the fixation on one player , surely you identify a number of players and give yourself plenty of options If they want unrealistic money for a player or don't want to sell then move on
I think it's a nice fit with our 'footballing philosophy' Details of which are on the page just before 'Branding Guidelines' in the "Hull City Tigers - How to Run a 21st Century Football Club"
Completely agree, we need an experienced old head who had played 200 games at this level and knows the division inside-out. Someone like Alex Bruce, for example.
Hilarious. Seriously though, we do need somebody more experienced, we have enough youngsters in our defence.
*Premiership old bean. Like I said above, stop making a fool of yourself. And if you'd seen the lad play, you'd know.
Then you're a very talented man. Why on Earth would you want Alex Bruce back now? We'd have to loan him from the division below? We got him in his best years, which was 5 years ago. He couldn't get another Championship club this season so he signed for Bury. He's played six times for Wigan this season. Come on now. No it isn't. In no dimension is League One the same standard as the SPL. Not unless you're making the age old funny about it being a poor standard. The Danske Bank Premiership is probably League One Standard.
Because his no nonsense, heart on the sleeve, prepared to put his head / body / anything on the line just to ****ing WIN coupled together with exceptional experience at this very level is exactly what we’re missing. He was never going to stay because of what happened with his dad and the owners, but purely based on on-pitch matters he should have and we’d be considerably better off points wise if he had. And just a point, but I never said I wanted Alex Bruce back.
Well that's conjecture, I'm not convinced he was the same player after that long term injury. He isn't even first choice in the league below; even in the mess we are in, I can't see us going to that level. There are defenders in Ferriby's league who would be no nonsense and would give everything for the shirt, it doesn't mean they're good enough. I thought he had a great run here and had some great games, but he left at the right time and the lack of clubs interested was an indicator. A lot of managers would have seen him for us and if he was that impressive they'd have snapped him up. You might be in luck, if we go down he might be a priority signing.
