That’s the most annoying thing. Just stump up the cash. Stop pissing about with 100k her or there. We are in serious trouble. Although I don’t think boy wonder gives a damn he’s got his money, he will be waiting for a present or two win Bowen or maybe a sneaky sell on with Maguire and obviously the parachute payments.

The current plight of our club is lunacy, and down to one man. I’d love to know the club ‘strategy’!

There isn't a strategy for the club....the strategy is to run the business for the benefit of the shareholders. It's probably the one and only thing the Twats in charge have ever promised and stuck to!

Also Johnson at Oxford was another example. We kept offering a million or a little higher, Middlesbrough game in with what they wanted 3 million and got him. Then we play the season with one winger.

But that wasn't wrong, he's done nothing at Boro. They overpaid all summer, look where they are

Do you know what the Robertson deal was in terms of the guaranteed sum and then the add ons? I know it totalled £2.8m but wasn't sure how the split worked

As far as I'm aware, it was a fixed £2.85m and they had a sell-on clause, but only a small one, they got about £600k when he went to Liverpool.

Righteo thanks

Didn't we lose Gray from Brentford because jnr's fooking about.

They didn't trust Bruce's spending after he'd spent £40m the year before and got us relegated. There were some good long term buys in there though

Ok , I'll play along for Psychic entertainment, How Do You purport that FACT , especially from your exotic location. Let me point out , Your Not even in the same hemisphere as Enob. Reality Check Johnny Boy.

He knows because Ehab said so in the interviews he gave in October to the HDM. He was proud of buying cheap and selling high in fact.

Darnbrough's job is probably to identify players he knows the other club doesn't want to sell. Then to put it stupidly low bids. Thus we have the smoke and mirrors of apparently trying to buy a player, without in reality spending anything.

Or possibly the scatter gun approach. Appraise the value of hundreds of players, offer their club half that value and see who bites.

Middlesbrough really isn't a good example of how to do business. Quite the opposite.

Well they aren’t facing League 1 are they. They’ve employed a manager who will most likely get them promoted and kept their best players. Give me Steve Gibson’s transfer policy over Ehabs any day.

Also they shouldn’t have as much disposable cash as us either.

Boro are a prime example of what can happen with a decent owner.
"We're gonna be in the Championship? Better buy Assombalonga then, he's scored loads of goals at that level. Oh and while we're at it, get Howson in from Norwich and Randolph from West Ham, two players that know this league inside out and have performed at a consistent level. Full backs? Cyrus Christie from Derby obviously, the lad is on an upward trajectory and while we're talking wide players, that Braithewaite at Toulouse would be a great shout, we've scouted him thoroughly and we know that even though he's never played in England, he is just the type of player we need."

Meanwhile at City:

"It was rejected? Bid the same amount."
"What?"
"Just do it. Trust me. Then see who is fifth choice up front at QPR and get him in on loan."
