Its quite Important that Ehab is held to account by fans even Individuals who can read between the lines and Interpret media statements & comment and influence acts such committed that relate to the clubs handling and even his character itself. But I think its a step to far , when your emphasizing the way he's thinking. I intensely dislike his actions and comments as much as the next fan. Reading your comments of Ehabs inner workings is cringe worthy.

Whether you find them cringe worthy or not, I know for a fact that this is the way he is thinking.

We've made a relatively low offer for a player they don't want to sell, we're not realistically going to get him by offering the same amount again, however the deal is structured.

Well as the two bids happened within the space of 48 hours (they were both on the weekend weren't they?) I'm not surprised our first tact was to restructure (presumably went from 70k up front to closer to 300k) and will now be to offer more money.

He's a kid who's only played 18 games in the SPL, they aren't going to get that much for him, especially not as much as their delusional fans think. £1m including add ons tops

It's not too crazy to go back in and restructure the offer if that was the problems. It's a waste of time if the amount is too low.

Oh aye, I though his previous loans were in the SPL, but they weren't.

Then we'll have to offer more if we want him, won't we? <doh>

Of course.

It's also the lad himself though. I remember talking to Dundee United fans about Robbo when we bought him and he was on an absolute pittance, I think about £2k pw. It wouldn't surprise me if McKenna was on similar, he'd triple his wages at least coming to us. Plus a few decent performances and he'll have PL interest and then it all goes crazy for him. It's a massive opportunity

Of course, but first offering more up front is a reasonable tactic as it would have allowed them to replace him immediately this window.
For a club who is second in their table and have Champions League football in their sights I'm guessing it would take more than 300k to get an adequate replacement.

It's the SPL, they could sign Alex Bruce on a free and he'd be one of the best in the league.
This is why you won't sign McKenna, you have no idea of the respective qualities up here.

He's already being talked about as one half of the Scotland CB solution, you'll need north of £2m to get Aberdeen listening to offers.

Guess we'll look elsewhere then.
