Jordan Turnbull has turned up on my doorstep. I may be going to see him soon as Cobblers play MK dons. He could be a good signing for Cobblers; their defence was poor when I saw them New Years Day.
Has no one else noticed the fact that our Off Topic thread is named after Les Reed....wasn't that long ago that he was flavour of the month. How fickle we are.
Working on signings of our own? In any case, that looks very much like a potential signing which isn't what we need this window.
You've got a point there Fran. I have been watching the name changes of the off topic thread and it does seem to have the same curse as the calendar. (Gabbi went on a goalless streak after we named it after him, Koeman turned out to be a prick etc). Maybe another name change to someone we don't care about?
Fraser's Funky Forum Florin's Hideout Mauricio's Mound Actually the last one makes me feel a bit queasy.
There seems to be alot of les reed hate.we have been very well run up till now.a club cannot always have an upward trajectory. Anyway we are going to get 3points today and start climbing the table
Up until 18 months ago, rather than up until now, in my view. Unfortunately, it takes less than 12 months to get relegated. And an immediate return often doesn't happen these days. We, more than most, should know that.
I would say things started to decline, at least in a sense to me as a fan, last summer when we failed to create a squad capable of the challenges of European football. And we duly went straight out of Europe. It has gone downhill at an ever increasing rate in recent months - especially since the cup final. It now resembles a shambles and the Kruger interview summed that up.
Some fans are saying this....not the Board (which is all that counts really). He's on the Board and in charge of the football side of the club.....I would expect him to have power. All is not going well in the last two years, but was pretty good before that in terms of results. I get our anger at players going, but he doesn't sell them all on his own. These are decisions made on financial grounds more than footballing ones....we aren't the only club who has to bite the bullet on sales. At least we sold for good prices....don't have many players worth good prices now, so we won't have to suffer so many sales from now on. Times are rough now, but again a lot of clubs are suffering....two thirds of the league could be considered at risk. The next 12 months will be very important.
