Possibly, though he just looked slow which was a surprise, Clark is not the quickest, but he looked faster than Kingsley.
Just read the Adkins interview regarding structure and planning and no signings for short term fixes. We have ten out of contract players in the summer none of which seem to have had contracts offered for re-signing if Daws and Meyler are anything to go by. We are relying on players coming back from injuries to perform to keep us in the division. I would have thought that given the above that we should have looked to sign at least four players to keep us in the division. That is if the club has any intention of doing that.
Smart thinking GLP have you considered advising Lee Darningneedle, he looks like he could do with a bit of help.
Agree with this. My hunch is that players like Kingsley, Stewart and Toral will all become worthy signings; but perhaps they might need time. It could be a similar situation to Phil Parkinson's signings. They took a season so bed in then helped form the bedrock of a promotion push under a new manager the season after.
I aren't impressed with him to be honest. He came with a very poor track record and has done little to nothing to enhance it.
That's my concern. Many of the players we're banking on coming back and helping the current first team have had bad injuries and also been out for a huge amount of time. Just thinking of: Hernandez probably the least concerning Keane 2nd knee cruciate injury Mason if I was Ryan I'm not sure I would play again? Odubajo last kicked a ball when? He's been out for so long now it will take an eternity to get match fit, by which time the season could be done.
I wasn't quite as blunt, but yes - I tend to agree. He wasn't even getting the things right I would have expected of a professional footballer, that don't require coaching, or shouldn't at his age. Goalside, passing etc. All elementary things. Plus his pace - looked like he was running through crude oil wearing concrete boots.
Brady didn't look up to much when he first arrived, neither did Turner, it's far too early to be writing Kingsley off.
Surprised that Delaney isn't mentioned at least as much as Rosenior in terms of ex-players. Experienced, quite versatile and not getting much of a look in at Palace. Would love to get him in for the rest of the season at least if possible.
Met up with a Swans fan mate of mine yesterday. He said he’d drive Clucas back to Hull for us if he could. Strange ain’t it?
Brady was always clearly talented even if not everyone saw it. Happens a lot with on-loan attacking players. With Kingsley though it's not like he just struggled to impose himself, he looked like a boy among men. Slower and weaker than anyone else on the pitch. Made Clark look like a seasoned pro. Toral already looks good. Wish I could agree with you on Stewart but like Hector he's all about earrings and strolling around like he's too good for this level. Not what you want in a Championship relegation battle and if he hadn't come from Liverpool for a few million no one would rate him at all.
Agreed. Toral looks like the player trying to make things happen. Stewart looks like a **** Steven Hawes.
Exactly what I was thinking and too be honest not a gamble that I would take. We just can’t afford to take this chance. As I say we need four more in to do a job now and one of those four is a striker. I don’t think Dio, Abel or Will Keane will be playing here next year. It is also likely that applies to Turbo and Bowen as well.
