Well that mini feel good factor of better performances and results since Pritchard returned was short lived.
The following comment from Football Insider seems about right:
"Maddison is a decent young attacking midfielder, but he is nowhere good enough to be getting into the first-team at either Tottenham or Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp already has a very top-heavy squad and does not really need many more attacking players while Spurs have a great deal of young talent coming through that could be more worthwhile to develop than Maddison. The ex-Coventry ace has done wonders this season and is destined to play in the Premier League soon. However he does not appear to be good enough to get into a top six side just yet, and may be best off playing for a mid-table team, like Southampton."
With Pritchard gone, Madders should have a lot of game time for the rest of the season and into next year. If he moves to the PL soon he would probably be on the bench or worse. Time is on his side and he's developing rapidly here so why move on? The time will come, but he'd do well to look long-term.

We'll see.Well that mini feel good factor of better performances and results since Pritchard returned was short lived.
I think it's Huddersfield's record fee paid ...........

Sorry tmyg, but we'll have to agree to disagree!!It's back to the days of Chase et al...

But when about when he's dropped for Vrancic? The following comment from Football Insider seems about right:

That's one of the main things I was sad about. It made such a difference to have him back, and we waited so long!Well that mini feel good factor of better performances and results since Pritchard returned was short lived.
As I said yesterday we wont and cant. So, we start the game against Bristol City without Pritchard and Widschut. Many would argue that the latter will not be missed but the absence of Pritchard will be a significant blow. Can’t see anything but a defeat. How many of you out there believe we will replace Pritchard?
Wolves apparently looking to offload Ben Marshall. Possible Pritchard replacement?! I really rate him. Strikes me as the kind of player a Burnley or Bournemouth could go for.
We can't have Maddison as the only person in the whole squad who can score and assist regularly, surely!?But we don't need to replace Pritchard, we have JM who is very much a replacement, so we can upgrade in other areas where it is required.

All the more strange that we started scoring goals and winning when he returned ,the pair of them set up or scored nearly all the goals.Have you not read all the experts saying accommodating them both caused an imbalance in the team, we need to sign players who can fit into DF's style of play.
As I said yesterday we wont and cant.
We can't get a player of that quality for that sum, or less money, coz other clubs aren't as stupid as ours.
We wont because bringing in another German 3rd league player for 50,000 wont replace him, and that seems to be where our recruitment is at.
I also think that we have really depressingly quickly become a really unattractive prospect of a club to join.
