No, but given that we’ve been the only two northern teams quoted as interested, it’s safe to assume one of them is probably us.

Naturally, Sunderland will pop in and nick any deal.
 
Looking at the out of contract in the summer list and the lack of activity in approaching the players to sign new contracts I think we might see a couple of surprise departures yet.

If they are going to be sold then the owners ought to do it quick. It will give us time to get rid of a couple of more bits of deadwood and get four new players in. Draws are no good now we need to win games if we are to survive. If we sell and don’t buy or have a chance to buy we are shafted. The last couple of transfer windows have been a disaster. We need a good one.

Correction, Ehab Allam's a ****ing disaster, totally. A useless and pathetic businessman, and a useless and pathetic football man. Once the old man's faded away he'll be completely ****ed, and it couldn't happen to a more fitting individual. What goes around...
 
This Marriott kid is young and on the up,
He comes here and carries on his development at a slightly higher level and one year later he's worth at least treble what was paid for him.
Not exactly rocket science.
