According to The Times, Coutinho is on his way to Barca. They reckon that he’s turned down all offers of a new contract, more money, etc. It’s not about money, he wants out. And he doesn’t want to wait until summer, apparently.
Gotta admire the lads ambition tbf... understandable that at his age he doesn't want to be stuck at a medium sized club whose ambition seems limited to reaching the odd League Cup final once in a while ... might possibly have thought differently about it if 'Pool didn't also have a serial cup final loser at the helm .... but realistically ... what are the chances of 'Pool reproducing the biggest ever trophy fluke by an English team ...the Istanbul draw / penalty 'triumph' ?
joke transfer by us. To be honest i think he'd be a good asset at 15m if we can get conte to up his fitness, get rid of his big ego and stop him trying to dribble past everyone. On the otherhand i think we have a lot of midfield options, prefer us to play a 3-4-3 and want to develop fuzzy ampadu. So i'm hoping he mugs us off again

Chelsea are only buying him so that no one else can, as usual. They did the same with Salah and KDB. Once they got them, they didn't know what to do with them.

Can’t see why they want him otherwise. They’ve got several players in his position already. He’ll spend the vast majority of his time there warming his arse on a bench. Which I’m sure he must be aware of, and therefore speaks volumes about his personal ambition!
That's about a week old that story. Barca just feeding the media nonsense like they did in the summer. He will go, but I don't get what the point is of him going in Jan. He's cup tied for the CL and Barca will win La Liga anyway... odd one but either way he'll cost a fortune! I'd be happy with a price agreed but he moves on July 1st. He'll probably go in Jan though, which is fine if we get someone else in. We basically spent the Coutinho money on VVD and Keita, so all in all definitely worth it considering what we need as a squad. It wouldn't surprise me if we sign Lemar and/or Goretzka if Coutinho goes. Whatever happens I'm liking the look of what Klopps doing with this squad.
