My point was that we've got all of that stuff from companies and our own government, not from the EU.
In fact, does any of it come from the EU at all? Our current mob have moaned about being prevented from implementing more of it by them.
The idea that it's some sort of communist super state is just bizarre. I'd expect that from a Yank who watches endless Fox News.
You haven't gone all Trump on us, have you?

I don't like Trump, and I don't watch Fox news. This is probably what you are struggling with, that someone has an opinion different to yours, so you try and find a box to fit them in. However, unlike the Man from Hull, i don't need to post or quote links to form an opinion.

Nothing wrong with 'share and share alike' Jesus was a communist, we're not socialist enough IMO, why should generations of ****ers live in luxury because 1000 years ago their ancestor stabbed everyone in the back?

Saying that you sound like a couple of unhinged people doesn't mean that you agree with them about everything.
As for forming your own opinions, how did you come to the conclusion that the EU is a communist super state that wants to kill anyone who thinks?
What are you basing that on, exactly?

Everyone has an opinion on virtually everything. That doesn't mean that they're all equally valid.
Dara O'Briain did a good bit on it:

Where did i say kill anyone that thinks...oh yeah North Korea <laugh>

But keep up the good work, 6 pager already.

I wondered when someone would point that out, and that it is of political opinion that the EU state was formed on Communist ideals.
Communism as described by Marx is close to impossible to achieve. Revolutionary attempts to achieve it are almost certain to end in disaster because they put excessive power into a small cabal who simply can't resist using it. The EU is heavily criticised by the far right and the far left. The right don't like it because it provides a legal basis for preventing states adopting far-right policies and the left don't like it because it is essentially a capitalist institution and also prevents some far left wing policies being adopted. Personally I think it is the acceptable face of capitalism and is a flawed model for international co-operation, which we are going to need a lot more of if unfettered deployment of technology is not to destroy the planet. The fact that it is an obstacle to the loony left and the rabid right is just icing on the cake.

Winston Churchill was also one of the founding fathers of the EU - hardly a communist.

I think it has to be remembered that the original concept of a European Union was conceived in the wake of WW2. At that time it was considered inconceivable thst there should be another war in Europe. And that the best way to avoid that would be to unite Europe.

‘Churchill once said, “If Britain must choose between Europe and the open sea, she must always choose the open sea”

I like trump he is a wind up master.

He can make every ****er here cry without trying <laugh>
You like him because he's an oversensitive moron and you can relate.
He's the biggest snowflake ever and his fans emulate that perfectly.
Someone told him that he had little hands, so he sent them pictures cut out of magazines for years of how normal his hands were! <laugh>

In reference to military actions during WWII. Nothing to do with the EU or political work with Europe.

You get wound up by Stan's mere existence, so you're hardly in a position to comment.

Trump doesn't wind me up. He's a dangerous moron who shouldn't be in a position of power.
The fact that you like him just displays your own idiocy, frankly. He literally doesn't have a single redeeming trait.
You admire his ignorance and petty small-mindedness because they're things that you have in common.
Your response to this will prove my point.
