No, not just like cookies from searches.

Facebook logs your key strokes on the net when you’re not even logged in to it. Then when you log back in it shares that information. GDPR will smash the entire issue wide apart as thousands of Facebook users take up their option of finding out every scrap of information stored against their name.

I don't use Google directly. I go through www.Ecosia.org who use the advertising revenue they get to fund charities.

I also dont use Facebook apps and don't stay signed on through a browser.

My next venture, might be to create a 'Do you drink Coca Cola?' thread, I'm surprised really that @Archers Road hasn't beaten me to it.

I use Google, if they want to forward my details to some organisation that arranges threesomes and Cuckolds, then that's fine by me.

I don’t think it matters too much which search engine you use rather than how much of your personal information that you put on the internet. If you start telling everybody where you live, what job you do, how many guitars you own then somebody will put the pieces together regardless of what software you use @brb :)

The Tories have advanced this agenda far more than the EU.
Theresa May loves the surveillance state, wants to ban encryption and wants to get rid of the European Convention on Human Rights and Human Rights Act.
She's extremely authoritarian and it will only get worse if the EU is out of the picture.

Comparing the EU to North Korea's a bit Saxton, frankly. Have you been on an away trip to Hull or something?

Are we not already a surveillance state, in fact not only that but the most cctv'd country in the world, or are all those cameras just tictac tubes?

I have no time for the Tories, so not quite sure why you highlight them or May to me.

Everyone wants to blame something as i see it in relation to Brexit, but all this stuff has been happening under peoples noses for the last couple of decades.

There was plans to microchip all the clones but then some genius thought **** the hassle of human rights, just make Apple and Android the leading market in communication, and your have people chipped in their welcoming droves.

Mobiles that track your every route, internet shopping, contactless, auto tolls, ANPR...and your more worried about May! <laugh>

The last route left now is cash, once the banks get to do away with that, everything will leave a digital footprint.

    Hull where's that?

Altiero Spinelli, one of the founding fathers of the EU, designer of the Maastricht Treaty as well as the Single European Act was a Communist.

    Case closed. <whistle>

My point was that we've got all of that stuff from companies and our own government, not from the EU.
In fact, does any of it come from the EU at all? Our current mob have moaned about being prevented from implementing more of it by them.
The idea that it's some sort of communist super state is just bizarre. I'd expect that from a Yank who watches endless Fox News.
You haven't gone all Trump on us, have you?
