She hasn't clue, as she's on her nth brandy coffee and in a good place tonight. She has been laughing at it though... ...perhaps it was a miracle?
Bit of a weird, but brilliant day For a variety of reasons, mainly related to grandchildren, none of us have actually exchanged any presents yet! Well we did with the in laws, before they went home, but the main families presents...nothing, not even between couples I really like it Presents everywhere, can’t move in the living room cos it’s rammed...but we’ve decided to put Christmas off until tomorrow now Happy extended Xmas
Had a good day. Spent around 3 hours straight after Christmas Dinner playing a harsh but entertaining game one of the kids bought me. Cards Against Humanity. In the right company it’s worth a go. Like a Blankety Blank with attitude. All three kids admitted to setting out to buy it for me, two succeeded, one returned it. What that says about me I don’t know. Drank & ate loads, normal day in that respect. The dog’s taken a lot of flak on my behalf since the turkey & piccalilli butties. Goodnight.
Well, Xmas here in Vietnam is not widely celebrated, and officially it was not a holiday. However Christmas day was very quiet outside, and it seems that people just decided to celebrate it anyhow and took the day off. Thought I would try at least to have my Xmas dinner, ordered a Chicken and Rice from the BBQ take away, which was very nice, but was strange seeing it with its head, neck and feet still attached. I cooked myself green beans and shallots, no sprouts or parsnips unfortunately, but all in all it was quiet OK. Washed down with a passable bottle of Chilean Red.
Well we finally did Christmas this morning The traditional, for reasons I can’t now remember, champagne and croissants for breakfast Presents given and received, I even managed to get Mrs Tash something she liked Both grandchildren currently asleep Perfect
Not a bad morning here, had the dog out to run off her Xmas tidbits. Son getting home from 12 - 4 then back for more treatment; unbelievable that this time last week I walked him to theatre. Baby Jack joining a full gathering of the Washington clan. Not as we expected, but a very joyous day. I hope you all enjoy yours... ... a tough game for City, but I hope for a 1-0 win and the icing on the Fez cake!!!
Maybe this should be a separate thread for laughs as I'm sure we all have brilliant ones... but... MY MUM, playing a quiz this evening.... a classic... 'which boxer was known as the Dark Destroyer... "ooh whats his name, Ali G!!!!!!!''
Yes...old people’s quiz answers might well deserve another thread Problem is most people on here would be relying on their kids to login to remind them what they said!
My mam and dad came over today. Aaaand took about 15 mins before my old man, whilst moaning about our lack of strikers, started on about ya selling our best ones. Including Long. Ffs.
Some of us oldies would slaughter younger ones on quizzes, especially general knowledge ones. You only have to see younger ones on quiz shows. Or down the pub in quizzes.
When I was your age I made sure the chauffeur didn't have the day off at this time of year. Same with the head butler.
22:36 tonight a client emailed me new instruction. I got a bollocking from the missus as she thought I was looking for a cheap dive holiday!
She said earlier that she was missing our normal February trip to the Caneries and that the cruise we have booked isn’t really going to be as relaxing for her. Mind you we are in Amsterdam for two days so might get a quick dive in there if I’m lucky? I did get a slap and was called a dirty pig when I mentioned it earlier, can’t think why.
