I have to say that I do take into account how the country of my birth and the country I paid taxes to for twenty years treats me when my working days are over, the fact that you do not I have to say confuses me, I have in the past been critical of people that have gone to live in England with the same attitude as you have, maybe I was wrong and they are entitled to take advantage of what is on offer without a commitment to England My outlook will never change so we will just have to agree to differ

I am hearing a lot about people and what they want to do, but how do you feel about people going to England accepting all it has to offer without any commitment , I have always been of the opinion that it is a two way street , you cannot just take , why do I choose to live in Australia and why do you live in USA there must be a reason, we could just as easily go back to the UK
I'm over here contributing to society. How that's a problem is beyond me. I pay tax, I do a job that needs doing. I live by what you'd call Australian values. I spent a **** load on my visa. If people have a problem with that over here or in the UK they're small minded, xenophobic bigots. The world is too small and too inter connected for outlooks like that. That kind of tribalism is dying. People move. It will only increase in years to come. Hardly a bad thing when you consider the diversification of the gene pool.

Yeah I think you have a view very much belonging to your generation. I have a view belonging to mine. Every generation complains about the one that follows them. Every generation knows that little bit more than the one that preceded them. No doubt in 50 years I'll be on the other side of the table.
Great first day at the WACA. Sitting in a really strong position. Stoneman, Malan and Bairstow have played really well. Anything less than 400 in this innings will be a disappointment.
Best England day so far in this series. Malan looks every bit a test player in that. Played Lyon very well him and Bairstow. Cook & Root fail again (I think Cook's time is up personally and we need a new opener to go with Stoneman) Root is struggling particularly since being captain and not having Stokes as his number 2 - he seemed to do OK with Stokes there from my memory although never seemed to kick on after the half centuries he's scored and he's struggled in Australia. Game on in this one though. Moving Bairstow has been good for him and England
Disagree with that fella. That day we made our comeback in the last test, was a bit better than today, imo. Australia are 3/1 to win this test now. Because of our record at the WACA and our ability to totally capitulate, I'm having some of that!
If Malan or Bairstow are out early on we could be looking at around 400 or less, giving the Aussies over 3 days to put us on the back foot. Thats the downside. I'm going to be positive though and say that we'll be closer to 500. Then it's up to the bowlers to do some damage. Still too close to call, unless you're a beeb headline writer that is.
Not often an England batter continues where they left off the next day. I bet neither add an additional 20 runs a piece.
Bit surprised at the negativity here, the bowling from the Aussies was up with the best I have seen them, in spite of this England are in a very good position to win this one
