I don't know if Ings could fetch more than his wages at this point. He has had two major knee injuries, and has barely seen the pitch in 2.5 years...it's an even more severe version of Jay's layoff, without the bit where Jay at least got in some first team games prior to being sold. Really, it'd be a tremendously risky buy; he hasn't even been producing at the U23 level since returning.
Get Giroud and Walcott in January, and we could yet storm through to finish 7th - and potentially get European football. I can dream...
Giroud is one hell of a player,in my opinion he’s very underrated, before he came on I said to my nipper he would score. If we could get him and Walcott, and not lose anyone around the first team that would be a fantastic window. Fingers crossed we could tempt both.
I think we’d need to lose a striker before getting one in (in the Board’s eyes). On Theo, where we wanting him to play?
More than likely you're right. Apparently Sims is back in training which is fantastic news if true. He would have been a shoe-in to get games over Redmond this season if he was fit I think. I'd sooner see Sims in good form than bring back walcott TBH.
Yeah I don't think it is too much of a stretch to assume neither of them would have any interest in joining us. I don't think we will be doing anything in January tbh, and I don't have a problem with that
I think Walcott is a slight possibility, don't think we will but it's feasible. Giroud is dreamland imo.
Well he refused a move to Everton this summer, don't see how are we ever going to make a more lucrative offer for him. I also read somewhere that his wife is due to give birth to his third child and he would prefer to stay in London where his family has settled.
It’s a shame Everton didn’t get awarded a second penalty in all honesty. I’d have love to have seen that ****ers twisted face when getting doubled pen’d...
I thought he didn't want to move to Everton because it meant moving up North? He can always commute from London to here ...
