Hull City injury updates as Jarrod Bowen learns of scan results
The latest news on injuries to Jarrod Bowen, Kevin Stewart, Markus Henriksen and Michael Hector
Jarrod Bowen is an injury doubt for
Hull City’s clash at home to Brentford on Saturday, despite learning he suffered no ligament damage in the 2-2 draw away to Sheffield Wednesday.
Bowen limped off during the closing stages of City’s trip to Hillsborough after an awkward collision left the winger nursing an ankle injury.
Any fears of a lengthy absence have since been allayed by positive scan results but Bowen remains doubtful for what could be the coronation of Leonid Slutsky’s successor at the KCOM Stadium this weekend. A final decision will come later in the week if the rookie is able to resume full training.
Bowen has become a hugely important figure for City this season, starting all 20 Championship fixtures to date.
That ever-present run, matched only by Allan McGregor, has seen the 20-year-old score 10 goals to become the quickest City player into double figures since Stuart Elliott in 2004-05.
The manager-less Tigers also have injury concerns over Kevin Stewart and Markus Henriksen from the weekend trip to Sheffield Wednesday but, ahead of his departure, Slutsky suggested central defender Michael Hector was expected to recover from a hamstring injury that ruled him out at Hillsborough.
