More from Assem slagging off the fans for not backing him against the council re: the stadium freehold?

No. Its on twitter somewhere. He was asked if there was going to be a sale. Assem said no because we don't own the ground and the militant supporters putting off prospective buyers.

The fact that we seem to have fewer people standing up and singing than most places and the lack of atmosphere is not unconnected.
Probably because so many only arrived post KC and have no experience of what a proper football atmosphere is like.

I sit in the East Stand and I am relieved to say nobody stands throughout the game. I'm not being a spoil sport, just practical. I am only small and would not be able to see if everyone stood up and neither would a lot of others. There should be a "safe standing" area for those who want to stand and then everyone is happy.

I wonder if the Wilberforce building has a huge picture of William to remind students of what he achieved.
So you don’t think our club should put up anything about former players because fans shouldn’t need reminding or informing about their past exploits?

Strange view.

As has been often stated, plenty to complain or made snide remarks over. This isn’t one.

Oh dear Jules, you’re the enemy to our militant fans. Even the ones who haven’t been to a game in years. You’re stopping them from hearing the chants from the 70s when they’re watching on telly.

The first attempt at securing the poster was not totally successful. Debate rages within the Physics faculty as to whether the correct strength of adhesive was applied to support such a mighty ego, or plain and simple, even the building that carries his name came out support of brickgate.

For those intrigued, there are a further six much smaller panels listing all those who similarly made donations. Within the foyer, under the beaming benefactor, is a public cafe. Serves good coffee.

Yes, the players often say they prefer people sitting there quietly rather than making a raucous din and spoling their concentration.

Dr Allam prefers it as well.

There are pictures and there are 2 metre square "look at me".

Good. Just to clarify if they went back and hung the banner on the building after the visit, I'd be fine with that.
Respect to these young fans who got up off their arses and did something. It's the online poseurs I can't stand

Former players contributed to our history and the successes of our football club. They walked out onto the pitch and played for us.

Wilberforce stood up in parliament and presented the bill which abolished the traffic in slaves.

Assem Allam donated money to the University of Hull in return for which he got an Honoury Doctorate, two buildings named after him and a huge picture of himself for everyone who enters the building to see.

Don't you think that William Wilberforce equally deserves a picture in the foyer of the building named after him? Or do you think Assem Allam deserves to be treated better tahn Wilberforce by the University?
