Agree on Dio, thought the last game he started he was a handful and also took his goal brilliantly. he doesn't really know what hes doing sometimes when he runs with it so how can the defenders know! get him started and give the defenders something to think about rather than sidewards predictable passing

Really hope he goes with Dawson Mazuch as the centre back partnership, Mazuch has look reasonably solid defensively in the games I have seen him play in.
Club ringing fans to see if they are larkin out. Reminiscent of the old jokes back in the 70's / 80's when we were **** and attendances were where they are fast heading now. As for the team for Saturday. **** knows anymore! I'd like them to go for it. Front foot, pressing, with a front 2 or 3. But Slutsky simply doesn't have the players. Defence is far too fragile. CM is not good enough. Neither are our attacking options. But we do have plenty of 'No 10 type' options. I can see us losing again tomorrow. It's a mess. And I have zero confidence that a) time will fix it, as the squad is simply not balanced or good enough, or b) January window will fix it.
God I hope I'm wrong on all counts, as it depresses me more by the day. Even more so when there's little prospect of the twats departing anytime soon.

I think one of the biggest issues is making sure Aina doesn't have a free role. Certainly don't play him as a left back like Nigeria did. He got subbed at HT and these highlights show why. He's number 2 (skip the first couple of minutes)

I'd start Mazuch and I also thought Tormori was ok against Sheff Utd.
Dawson is really struggling and I don't rate Hector so it will definitely be Dawson & Hector starting at CB tomorrow.
Evandro will come on for the last 20 when we are chasing the game.
I'd also start Diomande ahead of Dicko so Dicko will start.
Formation wise it will be 4-2-3-1 because that's worked wonders this season and that's why we are placed so high in the table.
Anyone know who Burton, Bolton and Birmingham & Sunderland are playing tomorrow?

In days gone by I would be buzzing on a Friday evening for the weekend's game but now I feel completely indifferent to it. My 12-year-old self from 2003 would think I was crazy for feeling that way about City. Sad state of affairs that the club is now in.
