I'd love to see us return to a modern day version of the Boot Room. Props to Gerrard as well for knowing where to start out instead of wanting to jump straight in to top level, first team. I just found out recently that Harry Kewell's managing Crawley and Kevin Nolan is player/manager at Notts County. Wonder if either will make the grade.

hard to know.

I think travel and exchange of views alongside getting best qualifications is vital....but.... managers need the x factor and hunger for work.

What happened to the one main target, keep quiet, no press leaks, just go get your man approach that Everton supposedly favour? :bandit:
The press had Dyche as nailed on last week, and it turns out we've not even spoken to him. They had Allardyce speaking to Moshiri yesterday - it didn't happen - as confirmed by Allardyce today.

They're pulling names out of hat, same as ever. Moshiri may well have Simeone at the top of his list, who wouldn't? But it doesn't mean we've got a cat in hells chance of landing him.

Last time round Moshiri made Koeman his first choice and pursued him until he got him, we'll see how it pans out.

Italian press apparently said Everton approached Ancelotti two days before Koeman was sacked and he turned it down. Unless these managers come out personally verifying or denying, we don't ever know who was or wasn't sounded out. As for Moshiri's top pick do you trust him this time?

tbh there is a clear difference between an ambitious manager and a top top manager with track record at the top.

Everton will struggle to get one.

hell lfc got rafa based on rafas falling out at valencia... not top job in Spain being available and 2001. we only got klopp based on him being somewhat on love with our story.

Everton and SIMEONE....... back of the queue lads. back of the queue.

Can't argue mate tbh. Assuming the rumour about Moshiri wanting Simeone is even true, I admire his ambition, but we need to walk before we try and run. Hey why not try and sell it to him, but be prepared for the finger.

I think it's safe to say he won't be our next manager lol

yeah.. if true I would be more worried sky have access.... unless it was deliberately leaked of course?

not sure why anyone would leak that. its too pie in sky to appease fans surely and makes you look worse but who knows.

I find it interesting the other 3 names were not in the headline

I see gold has given Moyes the vote of confidence.

hes the best available.

ouch.

talk about walking into a disaster.

Karen Brady openly called you a sexist

gold.says you are just all he could get at the minute.

fans never wanted bilic gone.

wow.

I'd rather be relegated than appoint Moyes!

If Sky and TS are associated why did Sky say Big Sam had held discussions with Everton and TS say he didn't?
