http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...addresses_his_Saints_situation_and_mentality/ Glad to read this. Virgil has come out and said he is fully committed to Saints. Points out that it was hard to come back after 8 months out, but feels he is back to 100%. I know that doesn't mean he is here for the rest of his career, but that's true of all players. Just good to hear him say something positive. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...post-match-southampton-burnley-premier-league
Just read a Liverpool blog which apparently sees Virgil's comments as a change of tack (not tact as they put it) to force a Liverpool move.....the devious bastard. Apparently they see a January move as unlikely as we failed to sign a CB in the summer....phew, lucky they don't know about Hoedt and Bednerak We're buried under centre backs. I'm not naïve enough to see this as a sign that VVD intends to stay for ever, but am just pleased that he has taken the adult view that he is here for the moment and intends to do the best he can for himself, his team mates and us.
And a cracking shot it was too. There were a couple of occasions in that game where a loose ball fell to Steve D to shoot and my heart sank. I felt a lot more confident with Maya on the turn!
You say that, but there are (I think) only two players in our entire squad with more goals for Southampton than Davo. Shane Long and Dusan Tadic...
Great to hear that Virgil is 100% committed to Saints? By the way I've just seen a squadron of flying pigs outside my lounge window.
