That's quite good. There is a difference though. They bought several reasonably good players who upto now can't knit into a system. We sold our keyest of key players, when it came to making sufficient goals to regularly win games. We play quite well right upto the point of carving out a chance to score a goal. We can't do it.

Does anyone think we will get rid of MP ?

How bad will that make the board look , and as Beefy has already said 2 managers , same issues .

I expect to see MP2 gone before the end of the season. Not everything is at his door but he simply hasn't got the team playing well and I dont see anything that makes me feel like he is close to making a breakthrough. My expectation is that he will lose the dressing room shortly just like Puel.

We can't score either way so it really makes no odds how other teams play , if they score, they win , it's as simple as that at the moment. Even Bournemouth away I don't fancy us to pick up 3 points. Leicester are looking half decent now , Everton will have got a bit of a lift and Huddersfield are okay on their day as united found out. As for Liverpool , Chelsea , city, united , spurs and gooners, I really can't see any points out of those games.

I agree we’ll do better against teams that attack us, if only because Gabbi won’t be so mobbed and he can actually score goals.


As can Sofiane, and he’ll get more space.

Some of our fans gave up before a ball was kicked. I predicted before the season started, that if we drew at home to Swansea, the mutterings would start.

I can't say the lack of backbone is even a generational thing - the three blokes standing behind me booing in the Chapel on Saturday were all in their 50s, if not older. When did we become a nation of spineless whingers? You wouldn't want to be in the trenches with our supporters.

I haven't given up, but from what I have seen thus far, makes me doubt he'll last. Even our three wins this season were fortunate, a last minute pen that we see not given every week, the battle of Alamo against Palace where they had 3 far more clear cut chances than us, but fortunately they didn't take them. Then there's wba, the flat back 8 four/two banks of five. Thank god for SB's bit of genius, because I've seen that type of game end 0-0 loads of times over the past 25 years. On the other hand we were unlucky not to beat Swansea, played well against Utd & invited Brighton back into the party. We have played 12 games, with the least harsh start to a season I have every seen, & scrapped into 13th place.Up next is L'pool, Everton, City, B'mouth, Arse, Fox, Chelsea. If the players don't believe in him now, I don't think they are going to have their minds changed after that little run. Not trying to be negative, but the shackles he has set clearly has held us back, even without a target man & AM we are better than most of our performances this season, & in my opinion he'll be luck to be here as the Christmas fixtures hit.
Lemina cannot save him, he has to save himself.
 
This must permeate the team as well. Imagine we just had one or two early wins...the team expectation and belief in the manager would be high. How must it feel to be in a team where you can't win or even score despite all your efforts. The difference with how we all view the club is seriously down to probably no more than an extra 3-6 points. Everyone has to get behind the team with some difficult games coming up....being 'right' won't help anyone if we continue to deteriorate (in league position). It's not awful yet, but could be if everyone, especially the players, lose their faith.

Some people on Saintsweb are saying when Pellegrino gets sacked we should appoint someone with a track record of getting promoted from the Championship.

Highly unlikely we go down with some of the other teams in the division, but the Premier League is a **** league this year. 1 (maybe 2) really good teams, 3 or 4 good ones then Liverpool then 14 teams scared ****less of getting relegated so play negative football. With all the added money you would think the overall quality has gone up in recent years but in my view it really hasn't. The talent of the squads in the league may have gone up but the risk of going down financially is so great that teams just don't want to lose so the talent is never used to its fullest.
