This was a disappointing result if taken at face value.

But, keeping it all in its proper perspective, Poch did make seven changes to the team that humiliated 'Pool, so it isn't surprising that this kind of upset has occurred.

We have to give praise to Poch for doing what a lot of managers in his position are too afraid of doing, which is to give the youngsters their chance. Ultimately, it is that that makes us strong.

Well done to the Spanners for not giving up. I hope this gives them the confidence, under Bilic, to revive their fortunes in the league.

As for us, I hope that it gives Poch the ammunition he needs to put a rocket up several arses, and to remind the first XI that nothing is ever to be taken for granted against Prem opposition.
<wah>

At least you can concentrate on going out in the last 16 of the CL and trying to finish 2nd now mate <whistle>

Haha!

We’ll obviously try to do better than that. But there can be no excuses for tonight. We had them tied up and ready for the oven, then backed off and paid the price.

I’m pissed off! And I imagine some of our players will be experiencing an Argentinian hairdryer blast.

Wumbley curse continues...

There is no curse, Candyman.

Poch experimented with his squad to find its weaknesses, and he found them.

It's what he does with that knowledge, and how the team reacts that counts.

For a team in transition to World beaters - which Spurs is - it sometimes takes these kinds of "safe" games to get the lads to re-focus.

Would just like to say that I read none of that and by your own warped logic you are now the worst team in the league. Well done. You'll never win anything and your best players will leave to play for a decent team. I say decent and not world class as clearly decent is a step up.

I think he'll secretly be happy tbh, rightly or wrongly.

Of course he did **** <laugh>
If that dozy Argy doesn't know the depth of his squad after three years its time to pack it in.

<laugh>

Enjoy your soggy pasta, safe in the knowledge that HIAG has made an arse or himself yet again <ok>

I’ve rolled to too thin an all, ****ing hell was well looking forward to it too.

No spare eggs. Game over.

No he didn’t. He would have put that team out believing it could win. He rotated the squad as most PL managers do, to rest some senior players.

HIAG owned again :)

We do have a tendency to switch off in games. I hope tonight's very disappointing result will drill that into them. Well done West Ham.
Exactly what Watford did last week and gave a lifeline to us.

Spuds have given Slaven second chance.
