That'd be an unbelievable appointment. One of the top managers in Europe and you would think he's out of reach. Could do worse than appoint Howe imo.
This is the issue I think, most of the names you could immediately think of are ****. Apart from Ancelotti and Tuchel who seem unlikely. I doubt Howe or Dyche would leave their clubs at this stage of the season, but football has shown there is no loyalty so I am probably wrong there. Pardiola, Allardyce, Sherwood, Coleman, Strachan, Moyes the ones I can think of with "PL experience" that people bang on about. None of them look very appealing, either go all out for Tuchel (more likely than Ancelotti) or just give it to Unsworth and see what he can do for the rest of the year. They won't go down and with the start they've had are unlikely to get top 6 so no rush to get someone in imo. If Unsworth doesn't do enough to get the job then see who is available in the summer or try and get Howe/Dyche then.
Can't help but feel he'll struggle big time at a club where they're expected to do well and push up the table.
Sort of agree but I think he deserves a shot at it. Lots of people (not me btw) bemoan the fact that English managers don't get a shot at the bigger jobs and clubs tend to look abroad, this seems like a good opportunity for both Dyche and Everton. It is hard to really judge how well he'd do as he has never had the budget/level of expectation that he would have at somewhere like Everton.
