Young Accrington Stanley academy player Jordan Moseley. Was a member of the U16 side, terrible news.

So sad, so good, so young. RIP Gord. To our UK friends, if you don't know the Hip check out the previous post by tc in Toronto. By the way, nice post tc ... sad times. And for all out there, getting old is not f or the weak, it takes strength.

he was indeed. he was supposed to get the part of Pycelle in TV series but was too ill. He ended up playing Hallyne (head of the alchemists' guild) in a couple of episodes.
 
Although it's been known for some time that Gord Downie was terminally ill with a limited time, it's hard to believe the outpouring of grief, respect and homage to this guy from Kingston, Ontario. Even the PM became emotional:

Also wrote a lot of songs. Surprisingly, Love Is In The Air was one of them.
