Oh, I agree. It's long been accepted that the huge influx of £££ johnny-foreigner players throughout the UK footballing pyramid are holding back the development and game time of young Brits who may feature for the under 21s but are prevented from making it to a higher level. Trouble is, the flood gates are well and truly open - have been for years, so what can be done about it to benefit the national side? Keep calm and obey sir Gareth, I guess
I never said the word 'ashamed' so back off. And Cromer is a town I said claiming to be English was not my priority and that's very different. And for your info, my grandfather fought in the mud slide, death infested trenches of Passchendaele so I'm fully aware through him thank you. I don't need your sniping to educate me.
edit - just noticed no 11 has his hands on his knees. No 9 has his hands on the knees of the players either side of him?!
The second World War was slightly more than Passé, history, a bygone era . To trivialise it is deeply disrespectful, perhaps you are Ignorant to the poster campaign of the era to try and boost morale but as you Identify as a European and reluctantly English you appear to be pro German.
You believe what you want, I honestly couldn't give a ****, the only thing passé I referred to was the use of the keep calm slogan which has surely been done to death 4,5,6 years ago. And in a frivolous manner, no link to it's historical past meaning, as in 'keep calm and drink more coffee' etc.
You could have said that the slogan has been hijacked and used to death to sell Union Jack aprons and coffe mugs but you specifically mentioned the Passé, history, of a bygone era . Both words history and era mean the War and the 1940s. You probably didn't intend it to be perceived like that but after the reluctantly English comments that's how it read.
Good. I'm glad we've sorted that out then. Now can we leave it and prepare for a game vs Hull in 3 days time.
Trying to get back to football related posts - I see Tom Trybull has been voted according to 'WhoScored' and an EDP poll. I'd say that's pretty good for someone who didn't cost us a bean in transfer fees!!!!! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...p-efl-championship-performer-so-far-1-5231820
Thanks Rick. I forgot he had made the squad for the last two games. I would blame it on age, but I think I was born with Altzheimers. I think Nelson will start if he's completely fit. Tough call for Farke, though, to keep both players happy.
I think what has become obvious from Basil's antics at Craven Cottage and how DF dealt with it, is that he realises he is going to need both players with the glut of games coming up. I think the starting 11 for Saturday could be quite interesting and I really wouldn't mind who starts as striker (please note canario!!!), as long as both get some minutes on the pitch.
I'm a big fan of Jerome's, Horatio (for ILD ) needs to get back in the game, though. I can't argue with RER's point that Nelson would be the better choice to start at home.
Seems as though SW has had a major shake-up at Colney and it appears Hucks has been sacked - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...among-key-norwich-city-colney-exits-1-5232926
Webber is not afraid to make tough choices and changes... and that's exactly what NCFC needs! I'm a big Hucks fan and I love his passion for the club too but if he's not the right man in that coaching job, then i'm pleased the decision has been made. Maybe it's just too soon in his coaching career.
Paving the way for Holt and KoS to finally hang up their boots at King's Lynn?? Sounds odd, I thought Huckerby had been an inspiration for young guys like Middleton, etc?
I know he's on record as saying he has and I can only agree with HQMC in that SW feels we need someone different assisting Matt Gill with the under 23s. PS - I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks Cromer (Porkstock, Beer Festival), so you can continue with the MDT baton.
Much as this idea is admirable, I wouldn't really think the powers that be will be swayed by a few city fans wearing a very outdated replica top? If Britvic / Colman's is not viable or profitable, then it will go. That's how things work in these tough trading times. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city-...irts-for-saturday-s-hull-city-match-1-5232821 edit, I thought of saying "Much as this idea is admiral" just to see if anyone picked me up on it?
