Hooray! Tonight is the last night of WC qualifiers. As of Friday onwards, we'll be able to get behind our proper teams for a nice change. And support them in the English championship - despite the make up of the squad comprising Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Dutch, Portuguese, Germans, Norwegians, Swiss and a Bosniak (Vrancic, by birth is Bosnian) as well as English players.

Three home games and a trip down the A140 in October. Twelve points: I would be happy to get at least 7 spoints, but 10 would be brilliant. With the two week break for WC qualifiers, I don’t think many NCFC players got onto the pitch so hopefully no injuries. Can’t wait for Saturday to see if we can continue in the form we were in before the break.

So it's looking like Portugal/Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Croatia, Sweden, N. Ireland, Greece and RoI in the play-offs. The first 4 will be seeded, meaning tricky games for the Irish. I think either would be very happy to draw the Danes.
Switzerland have won 9 out of 9 prior to this game, and defeat to Portugal (they're 2-0 down) means they'll be in the play-offs. That's so unlucky.

Messi hat trick means Argentina qualify, as do Panama - USA fail to qualify.
European play-offs draw could be interesting.

Australia have a playoff qualifier with Honduras following 2 goals from 37 year old Tim Cahill against Syria. He's by far the most prolific scorer for the Aussies and still going! How on earth Syria put a team together in the first place too?!?!?

Given that he came on as a sub against Boro and was on the bench against Reading, he should be available against Hull, CS. Jerome had his best game this season against Reading, though, so he could start. I think Oliveira is a better option in home games though.
Good, if long winded article JMF (I tend to skip the first half of these and start when the subject is football). It's a good point that our season shifted gears when Trybull and Stiepermann came in, though there was also the new 4-2-3-1 formation and the impact of Maddison as well. It's logical to think that there's further room for improvement as these new players bed in further. Slips will happen, but the signs look good.
German Spanish and Italian Leagues tend to have far less overseas players in their Leagues than English clubs but despite this hindrance tend to have better National sides.Hooray! It was aimed at normal everyday children in fear of having their homes bombed and going to school with gas masks incase gas was dropped on them.
You may be butt hurt that we decided as a Nation to leave the EU but In my dad's lifetime everyday English people were being murdered by Germans .
To him the Second World War was slightly more than Passé, history, and a bygone era .
You may be happy goose stepping around your village being ashamed to be English but If it wasn't for us the World would probably be a much worse place .
