    Hoddle left for his dream job. Didn't like it, but perfectly understandable and you'd have done the same if it was Saints wanting you. Koeman chased the first suit waving cash.

    For sure, I'd also have him m back here in a shot. He is tried and tested and has that thing called a Plan B...

    To be fair to MP2, I think he is staying strong to a system that we don't have the right people for, which may come good, but the short to medium term is painful.

    I can see us clicking if we hold firm til Jan where surely even Les will agree we need to buy those things we all forget on our shopping list; attacking players.

    Still too early, as well. The Burnley loss is their first unexpectedly bad result in PL play; they have six points from three matches against non-top six opposition. Now, taking 1 point from their four matches against the top teams isn't what they'd want, but I'd expect Koeman to get at least another couple months, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see them end that span in the top eight.

    Put this on the General Football thread, but worth laughing at twice. Mane out for 6 weeks with hamstring injury. Which is an awful shame for Liverpool.
