Time for Qwerty's Euro Permumations Corner. Health warning, I usually get this all wrong. Van Dijk starts v Belarus (ITV4), but the important game of the day for them has already ended...badly. They can only beat Sweden on GD (they play on the last day), something those cunning Swedes have clearly noticed because they just beat Luxembourg 8-0. Netherlands need to win about 10-0 tonight then beat Sweden by 2 goals, or something like that. Meanwhile, Bosnia & Herz lost 3-4 to Belgium and are also in trouble. Greece just need Cyprus to roll over for them tonight, which would not be that shocking. That's when things get confusing. On Sunday Ukraine play Croatia, both on 17 points, Croatia ahead on GD. Winner makes the play-offs, but if it's a draw they'll almost certainly become the lowest ranked 2nd placed team, and Greece will go through ahead of them.
Let's see if I can bare to watch England play today. I have come to the conclusion that we must play either a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 so as not to leave ourselves too open while having some width when we play bigger teams as we usually seem to be chasing games otherwise!
No Bertrand, even on the bench. Let's hope that he is not injured. Glad to see us try 3-4-3 but how can you judge the effectiveness of you make seven changes!
Understandably flat game, Kane penalty the diff. Spurs and Man U fans are wincing at every tackle on this pitch I expect.
I'm not disappointed with England's performance because I didn't expect any better. Can't wait to watch Henderson running England's midfield in the World Cup.
Your game tonight was the far better spectacle. Saved me from watching England, so thank you! Snodgrass really should have let that ball drop over his shoulder at the end and toe-poked it rather than go for the impossible header
