Gotta love Soton these days... Just got robbed at knife point by some crackhead in the city centre <doh>

So ****ing angry <grr>

Choose an off-peak month. June-September, extremely busy. A good time could be May outside the Bank Holiday season. Even December is good as it is quiet but the days are too short to pack in all the things you would want to do well into the evening.
Thanks for the tip Ides, we like to stay in small locally owned places apartments preferred to hotels. Mrs Jab also insists on a pool. We have invitations to visit friends all over the Globe, we'll need a round the world ticket, oh there's a need for sufficient time and funds. Always a minor hitch to the best laid plans.

FFS. Did you report it? Nothing will happen but you should report it. Hope you didn't lose much and at least you're unscathed physically (I assume).

Nah didn't bother reporting it, would be a waste of time with old bill so understaffed and not exactly a distinctive description.

Lost 40 quid which was loose in my pocket... had a 1er in my wallet so not too bad. Decided not to be a dickhead and try and front it... crack/smack heads are unpredictable and not worth the risk.

No matter who they are or what state they are in or not in, it's never worth the risk to front it.

A big thumbs up for my doctors surgery today.
My wife was booked in for a flu jab, on a first come first served basis, anytime between 09.00 - 12.00.
We arrived at 09.00 to find the car park full, so feared a long wait.
As it happens we were in and out within three minutes. I was expecting just one nurse to be there, to cope with all comers, but it turned out that anyone who was allowed to give the injection (nurses and doctors) were in attendance, turning the whole process into a conveyor belt.
So we went in the door, were told “this room is ready”, gave them my wife’s DOB, jab and back to the car.
Brilliant, especially as my wife didn’t want to go.

Lol you’ll love the sunset then

I bet that all the sun, and the vino being tipped down the cakehole, is softening the grumps. :) We've got a jolly 17°C maximum to look forward to tomorrow. Whoopee.! I may just remove that jumper for a thin fleece. I understand you have to suffer a pretty miserable 19°C yourself. Personally, I would get grumpy again.

24 today actually. Antibiotics stopped yesterday, so a small drink in order. The cigar is probably illegal though due to my chest infection for 5 weeks now...but you are a long time dead [emoji6]

PS. Just been told I still am grumpy by my other half. Probably not illness, just me bring me [emoji16]
