You've gotta hand it to The Heff. He seldom wore anything but a dressing gown, turned putting silicon into womens' bodies into an industry and turned dressing women as rabbits into something that people wanted to pay to see. He also smoked a pipe. When was the last time you saw someone smoking tobacco from a pipe?

When I was about 10, a kid who lived round the corner from me, showed me his dad's Playboy Club Membership, which he'd found in his parents' room. I was gobsmacked at the time that someone who looked so boring was a bit of a player. I've long since learned that it's normally the boring looking ones.........

I saw a documentary film on him a while back.

For an industry he effectively supercharged into a multi
billion dollar concern, there was a real sense of class/
intelligence/humour in his ways.

Contrast with the Spanner owners, who make
Larry Flynt (who gave the Heff a serious commercial
dilemma) seem like Noel Coward by comparison.

Stokes & Hales suspended by England indefinitely.
The video is damning on the face of it and certainly Stokes only possible (partial) salvation is if it is shown that he initially acted in defence of himself or another. That is the suggestion I imagine, as the guy he floored supposedly had bottled someone.
But it's still a feckin' ridiculous way to behave - even just going out clubbing in the middle of an international tournament!! <doh>

Larry Flynt is America. Everything good, bad, pretty or ugly about it seems to have been a part of his life.
Nothing says Stars and Stripes more than a self-made millionaire that was shot and crippled by a racist serial killer for creating interracial porn.

as to whether Playboy should get involved in the 'flesh fest'

He made the right decision. Playboy was marketed as a lifestyle. Hustler was marketed as basic porn.
Waitrose don't maintain their customer base by trying to compete with Lidl. Know your market.
Lots of companies fail that test and shoot themselves in the foot.

It seems to have got worse for Stokes.
He's on video mocking Katie Price/Dwight Yorke's disabled kid. That self absorbed idiot Price is fair game, but taking the mick out of a disabled child isn't going to win him many friends.
