That'll be why we've bought 6 players for between £23m and £45m since he arrived...........but don't let little things like facts get in the way like
How was he legally obliged to clear the entire debt and stick some additional cash on the balance sheet to the tune of £80m in total? You also patently don't understand the difference between P&L transactions and increasing the equity value of the club.
Imo I think results so far this season are a pretty fair reflection of where we're at right now Obviously what i say is relative so it's in terms of where LFC fans want and expect the team to be, top 4 or better. I'm not comparing us to Palace and Bournemouth ... yet Overall we're a decent side with a smattering of world class players, some/most of whom are very inconsistent ... Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino, amazing at times, face mashingly frustrating at other times We're nowhere near the title, top 4 is still a great result for us. Early days still in the season I know and 'anything can happen' but we're nothing if not consistently inconsistent Our defence is atrocious, an utter utter mess. We don't have a disruptive, nasty ass midfielder to protect the backline, someone who'll breakdown and redistribute, and the backline itself is pathetic full of wasters and young, inexperienced players apart from Matip, a solid player whose development is stalling to my eyes due to having to train and play with the ****e like Klavan and Lovren around him. We need another good CB stat, of equivalent quality but who is maybe more physically aggressive than Matip Our attack on it's day is certainly one of the best in the PL, maybe one of the best in Europe but it is criminally let down by the above shortcomings Then we have two decent goalkeepers who both have a tonne of mistakes in them. They're eerily similar for me, good shotstoppers and comfortable with play coming at them from in front but often useless at making decisions around high balls, crosses and corners, when to come out/stay put, positioning for set pieces, all that jazz They were asking that old question on the radio phone-ins last night ... are we better under Klopp than Rodgers? I think the football has changed, for the better, we play more fluid stuff with everyone involved more, we press more and fight to get possession back more. It's the results though, they're not at all/much better now than 3-4 years ago and the same problems we were all complaining about are still problems
The Rodgers thing. He sucked the life out of our club I didn't watch a post or pre match interview in 2 years before he was sacked. I love Klopp and hope he's here a long time.
I just remember being sick of his Rodgers-isms and soundbites by the end, passionless and clueless as they were, didn't seem genuine as well
I'm not sure how i feel about Klopp. You're football is scintillating sometimes but he seems too inflexible with your tactics and personnel that you have. Maybe he's too loyal with the existing players or cannot spot where your major weaknesses are. With respect to your comment about world class players who are inconsistent (are world class players as inconsistent as that?) i actually think Coutinho and Mane have been pretty consistent and that even in their bad games, they are not actually that bad (sign of a class player). Salah has done well but we know cannot finish or lacks that final pass sometimes but is always a threat. Firmino is just a solid player. Technically he is sound but for some reason he's either good or really poor. Maybe it's because hes playing out of position but whilst he sometimes pulls something magical out the bag, he hasn't really been all that and is no where near world class even when he's on it. I think this is summed up that his greatest asset is that he has bundles of energy to fit Klopps pressing game and that he has a good enough brain to make good runs and pulls defenders away. Disagree totally about the 2 decent goalkeepers. I think Mignolet is "decent" in the sense that he's got good stop stopping skills and he wouldn't look out of place in a decent premier league side. I wouldn't have him above any of the current top 6 sides though (even ederson has looked okay even though its his 2nd full season) and that again tells its own story. Karius on his current showing has shown he's currently a big clown and wouldn't even be classed in a solid premierleague side. Obviously he might be far better if he gets a run of games but in his current incarnation at liverpool (and theres a lot of pressure at your club), he's looked absolute pants game in game out. You are definitely better under Klopp. When the good times were rolling, Rodgers smashed it with Suarez. When he left and his choice of purchases, you guys were diabolical under rodgers. No shape, no strategy. At least with Klopp theres a system in place even if it only suits half the players.
I have come to a conclusion Klopp = high risk/high reward Mourinho = low risk/don't lose/score enough/outlast teams Conte = Plan every angle for each game. just examples. My view is Klopp wants fast breaks forward and high press to win it back quickly. this means we commit bodies froward when the more prudent manager might say get or stay goals side. He risks getting exposed to expose other teams. Our issues can be: a) player like moreno taking that as literally chase a 10% ball into the opposition corner and leaving his position wide open. b) player like henderson playing blind pass or just a plain **** flaoted ball like city second goal that is just always getting cut out and we are totally exposed. ............................ I agree on firmino. an all rounder who's not amazing at any one thing, he needs to be at his absolute best to really make the difference. if he's buzzing about all round the park and getting good positions then he's good. if he's given space he's good. if he's not really on it then he's anonymous. ............................ Frankly our keepers are bang average and you can sub any name in form any team in prem and not drop off. my view is mingolets best assets are pens and some shot types. not all. Karius is dodgy as hell.
