They are almost non existent.

As I said to Brian, I left in '83 but I remember one episode where the lasses with short skirts on were made to kneel on the floor & if the hem didn't touch the floor they were sent home to change.
This was in front of the rest of the class btw.

I got called to the school because a teacher had overheard Sammie describe somebody as half cast. They said it was a racist, aggressive and offensive term because 'cast' means 'pure' and she was saying somebody was 'only half pure'. I just shrugged my shoulders, told them I didn't know that and she'd probably picked it up from hearing me say it. So I got a telling off in front of the bairn <doh>

Well why haven't they taught her what's acceptable & not? No good expecting older generations to do it as changes to what's acceptable changes so much. So if the school is so much in the know, why haven't they taught her the correct terms. I would have dressed them down mate and told them it's their responsibility not yours to teach which items of issues which are current. They're supposed to be preparing her for adult life after all they have the qualifications to do such that. From you've said there It's the school who has failed her on this, not you mate. Parents don't get a PC handbook through the letter boxes, these changes to political correctness are born out of places like schools so they should be keeping the kids up to day not the parents imo.

If the school had done their job right, she wouldn't have got it from you, she would have corrected you instead. ****ing books passing jobsworths.

wow mate so right just what i would and have done ...take no **** from jobsworth PC correct ****s, if ever there was a real crisis in the country them twats would be the first queuing up for the first flight out to a safe country

They will change the names to 'coloured' so Blackburn f c will be coloured burn, Blackpool etc then there is the group black lace, shoe polish etc etc. I remember the gollywog getting banned off chivers jam !, don't even mention the black and white minstrels from the 1970's either or be sued, school trousers colour will go through a debate at parliament/house of lords. there must be somebody out there sitting thinking about how to antagonise people, when there is enough going on in the world today to worry about.

A Jamaican neighbour refers to herself as being black no problems - it is big trouble for white British to call her black. Totally absurd and pathetic this stance by the PC army (is this an old EU directive ?) goes way beyond madness -feeling very :emoticon-0121-angry and totally confused similar emotions when following Sunderland <doh>
