Frankly there's one easy solution to this: as it's a national security issue, publicly demand he name the leak as they have compromised the safety of not only the UK but potentially the US - and keep hitting him with the question every single time he tries to bluster his way out of it until he's left with two options: give up the person leaking information to the US, or admit he made **** up just so he could score internet points like some 14-year old edgelord.

That's essentially what Sadiq Khan did the last time Trump used a real-life attack on our shores to big himself up to his Twitter followers and other pond scum, and it worked.

Scoff all you want, I've learned a lot from the media this week.

1. Spurs rode their luck to a two goal win over Borussia Dortmund. It requires tremendous good fortune to win a match where you only have twice as many shots on goal as the other fellows.
2. They only won because the referees cheated. Obvious as well: the referees wrongly ruled out a Borussia Dortmund goal. Earlier, they had allowed them one which should have been chalked off. Add those up, and there's your two goal difference.
3. Harry Kane can never be considered world class if he continues to lead a club not presently considered one of the very strongest to victories over world top six clubs. It can only happen if he plays for someone that can beat the very best without him.
4. British football punditry is not dominated by bitter backers of the former Sky 4 who are certain, like the Islamic fundamentalists and Trump, that the clock has to turn back.

The NY Post ran a story about how Colorado resident Joshua Witt had a short-sided buzzcut and, as he walked to his car, somebody thought he was a neo-Nazi based on his haircut and tried to stab him.

The Guardian, meanwhile, ran a story about how Colorado resident Joshua Witt has been arrested for reporting false charges when he cut his own hand with a knife before posting on Facebook how an anti-fascist tried to stab him for having a haircut that made him look like a neo-Nazi.

Hmm, I wonder which one of these is the hack job...

I'm sure they reported the exact same thing every single time their favourite clubs in the whole wide world sacked off the competition ASAP every single time they did so in the last twenty years or so...

Of course they did. That's why his comments were such a bad idea.
Why bring Wigan into it at all? Just say that you have a lot of games right now and need to utilise the squad.
Pochettino's getting progressively better at dealing with the press, but that was a mistake.
 
Ray Parlour is (predictably) mouthing off about Poch's comments, saying that as we won't be winning the Premier League or Champions League we shouldn't sack off the League Cup.

I trust he'll be making similar comments about the following Premier League teams who are also fielding weakened lineups this evening...
