This is absolutely the point - there was no snide nor malice, but it was ****ing dangerous. The goalie didn't have his head at waist high or something. Salah did something similar to Bellerin at Anfield, but the crucial difference was that it was nowhere near his head, so was legitimate. But City were one down with ten men against Everton a few weeks ago - they didn't just fold and roll over. Astonishing how visibly we gave up when that second went in, but this is why City will be contenders and we won't; not just how they demolished us today, but how they themselves faced up to adversity.

Well Liverpools biggest weakness has been defending in recent seasons, so you aren't a team who are well suited to sitting back.

Unfortunately once you where down to 10 men, and probably your best and quickest attacker was off the field you where forced to park the bus, as you just had no outlet upfront.

Your best hope was having the attack is the best form of defence approach, and pining them back. It was impossible for you to play that way once Mane was gone though, so you where completely screwed as your defence and goalie are poor.

No offence but you where never realistically title contenders anyways, as there are atleast 4 teams who are just better, and 3 of them have much stronger squads. You do have good players in certain areas, but you aren't gonna sustain a title charge with that defence and keeper.

The 3 upfront are mustard, and Can and Wijnaldum are good midfield players, but Henderson in midfield is a poor player, and the back is bottom half of the table level. West Broms back 4 and goalie are better.

Not much we can do now apart from put it down to a bad day in the office. We shouldn't be conceded 5 regardless of having 10 men though.

Our defence is **** but we all know that - the midfield were even worse in my opinion. These are the only games when all three step up but they had a rare failure as a collective.

And I think Klopp should take a lot of responsibility because he practically waved a white flag at half time by taking Salah off. As wasteful as he is, he gets into great positions and causes problems.

Very disappointing but our good run against the top teams was due to come to an end at some point. Brush ourselves off and expect a reaction against Sevilla.

You missed out the central midfield.
Yes they have a good/very good front 4 but behind that there is nothing, that said the keeper is as good as some and better than many in the league.

Yeah I did edit my post and add that Henderson is a poor player. Admittedly Emre Can is a good player though, and Wijnaldum is useful for possession based play. They are lacking a proper destroyer in there instead of Henderson though.

I'm amazed you think the goalkeeper is up to it though. Look at all the other title contenders keepers, they are a lot better.

Mignolet for me is down there with the very worst keepers in the PL. Joe Hart and Matt Ryan are probably the only 2 I can think of who are worse. He's a calamity keeper who shouldn't be playing PL football IMO.

Don't know why you would assume any of us on here believe we will win the title or that we think we have a decent defence, it's all in your equine head.
But of course you think Utd will win the title due to being joint top after 4 games but yet to still play any of the top teams.

The man is playing on the edge, can you imagine what his nerves are like every time the opposition have the ball

TBH I think he is a decent shot stopper with good reactions, his command of the box is poor because he doesn't trust any of the players in front of him to do anything, the zonal marking doesn't help either.

I caught their game against Stoke on my laptop whilst in work - what overrated ****e they are. And their defence is no step up on ours either.

He was on here last season giving it loads about how superior they were until their top 4 bubble burst not long after Christmas, no doubt he'd bring their cup games last season into play as to them not finishing top 4 yet the season before that we played the same amount of games but apparently it had no bearing on our league position at the end.

I didn't assume anything pal, I was just responding to a poster who mentioned your title chances.

Yeah your 3 points off the lead after 4 games, if you carry on in that form you'll be near 30 points off the lead by the end.

I do actually believe we have a good chance of winning the league, but I do think we are lacking in defence a little. However I think there are big question marks about all the top sides, not just us. So we have a chance.

Liverpool just have far to many question marks though, even if your attack is outstanding.

Diego mate, you are having a float, fair enough but last season Ibra and Fellaini both got away with dangerous elbowing on occasions despite injuring the opposition, surely you can't pick and choose when it's okay to hurt an opponent due to who they play for.
