Oh. There's parallels between his performances and your responses on here. Mumbling indeed, bordering on tedious.
To be fair GLP, you did say Adam Sandler, one of the most disliked actors in film, you can't really be surprised that people are disagreeing.
I don't like his films anymore, but I think his early stuff like waterboy, happy Gilmore and the longest yard were decent, as a few more are. Recently they've been dreadful though.
I would have said it with feeling; the whole list is my nightmare viewing list - dopey, over valued, ****ing ****e American rubbish. There, I've said it, I needed to, it's done ...
I like Adam Sandler films. You know what you are going to get, it's fun and enjoyable. I can understand him being many people's favourite. There are many snobs out there who will dismiss such movies but hey ho, each to their own. I personally am glad he got a mention on the thread, I find discussions like this tend to either go for old people who are obviously way better than new people, or as obscure as possible to look cultured and cool or for the usual awards, up themselves, borefest types. Personally my favourite actor is Lee Otway who played Bombhead in Hollyoaks. He once had a very underrated role in an episode of Heartbeat.
By 'actor' - if it is meant someone acting a part so that you forget just which actor you are watching, and see only the character instead: Matthew McConaughey RobertDe Niro Kevin Spacey Timothy Spall Alec Guinness Bette Davis Jennifer Lawrence
