He certainly got clattered towards the end of the Bolton game, and was limping off at the end.

The key bit from the article:

Sources close to the player have told Sky Sports News the news was good, there is no need for further surgery and the bone is healing naturally.

It means Mason could step up training in a bid to resume his playing career, though it's understood he will not be rushed into making a decision.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate, the story seems to have come from a piece in the Mail a day earlier, which actually said - The only issue is how long it takes Mason to make a full recovery, and whether any further surgery may be required.

    Hopefully it's true.

Here's what Sky have said themselves from their sources: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ryan-mason-hopeful-of-resuming-playing-career

Markus Henriksen is expected to return to training next week as he continues to make good progress in his recovery from a foot injury suffered against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month.

Fraizer Campbell is also progressing having suffered a groin injury at Queens Park Rangers and will look to step up his rehab over the weekend and next week.

However, the Tigers will be without Ondrej Mazuch when they face Derby County a week on Friday after the defender damaged his knee late in the 4-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers last week.

We caught up with Head of Medicine & Performance Rob Price to get updates on some of the other players currently in the treatment room...

    Evandro

Evandro is now four weeks on from suffering a hamstring tendon injury and while these are notoriously slow to heal, he is making good functional progress although it could still be two or three weeks before he is back involved.

    Will Keane

Will had a tidy up of his meniscus a couple of weeks ago and he is coming along nicely after that. We're still looking at November as his return date.

    Kevin Stewart

Kevin saw a consultant in London on Tuesday regarding his ankle problem. He will undergo a course of injections but is likely to miss around eight weeks of action in total.

    Abel Hernandez

Abel is now two weeks on from Achilles surgery and will have his pot and stitches removed today before going into a protective boot. He remains on the long-term injury list.

Least there been some movement on Evandro it's gone from "he's two week's away " to three weeks away.

Stewarts the shocker, two months out,

Would be interested to know if playing Stewart made the injury worse, although I'm sure they wouldn't tell us if it did.

    That's what I thought too
In fact 'hopeful' to get on the pitch this season 'if all things go well' sounds pessimistic to me
See you next season then Moses :emoticon-0106-cryin

Henriksen is available to play tomorrow. Campbell, Mazuch and Evandro will be reviewed after today’s training session. Kevin Stewart is now expected to be out for another six weeks.

Hope that we might see Mr Two Weeks (Evandro) soon, to be honest , what little i've seen so far of him gives me the impression that the championship will suit him.

Unless he has an additional 'optional' year that the club seems to like having.
