Was your dad called Albert?
No. Though he was sunk twice. Very lucky indeed on one occasion. Funny how we rather arrogantly told our parents in the 1960s that they wouldn't understand what was going on as they hadn't the experience of things we had.
Was your dad called Albert?
Right up your alley.

That is as accurate as the one earlier about Johnson saying if you are tired of football you are tired of life.![]()

Don't do this ...
... I called my 9yr old grandson a mucktub and he said what's that? My iPad was handy so I said Google it. He got the Urban Dictionary with two definitions. I knew the first one, but not the second ... oh dear ...

So did you have to explain what else could happen in bed?

Bit worried about Lord Ashley there ref. Chairman of the Climbing Boys Society!!Again not sure what thread this should be on, but here goes. Central Library top floor, Masonic stuff but a lot of history about the people behind the names I have seen many a time around Hull but not really knew much about them, I found it fascinating.

Soul Patrol are a good band (they were on the shortlist for daughter's wedding do)
Beer is also good!
Yeah I've seen them a few times, as Sons tooThey are indeed Dennis, a few of them were in the band, Sons Of The Desert, the singer, Kipper, has a kind of Joe Cocker gravelly voice, or did have, if he is still with them and Rick Davis is a good saxophonoist, Rick I worked with a few years back.
