Agreed Real, and sorry I didn't mean so much the mark I meant the weight, Tropics always seems to run his best races when racing between 9-0 and 9-2, 2/2 over C&D at Newmarket when carrying 9-2 or less, and last 5-6 wins have all been at that weight too . 2nd 2nd 5th in the 3 when carrying more over C&D.

Getting a bit old now and always going to end up likely finding 1 or 2 too good but defo think he's got one more big race in him still to come, hopefully tomorrow at some juicy odds

I keep coming back to this one so will follow you in with a little punt. Her best form is probably ahead of anything else in the race, and I don't think her run last time out was too bad at all (only in the final furlong that she bowed out). When she beat Qemah previously there was a little soft in the going, and with the weather sunny and breezy up in York now we might be looking at genuine good ground come the off

Agreed, Do think Daban could make a mockery of this though, singles and reverse forecast for me

15:45 Newmarket - Balashakh

(Consistent sort, had a punt at the generally available price of 7/1 atm).

You know, Mick, long ago one of the very best, if not the best, contributor on the original 606 was a gentleman called Galaxy. His winner record was quite extraordinary, but I do remember how much he liked Pat Cosgrave as a jockey. How times change!
Good recall Swanny !! Galaxy really was a top tipster on this site and is much missed - let's hope he's alive and kicking whenever he is - top man

Really like SHEIKHZAYEDROAD today fellas. The only one of the main protagonists that doesn't have question marks regarding his stamina. On his best form he would win this, we just haven't seen his best form recently which is a concern. At the prices I am happy to have a bet!

I've seen a few comments in the racing media suggesting Lady Aurelia would prefer firmer going ......... have they all forgotten it was soft when she blasted to Queen Mary success? I'm sure she will be fine.

Similar thoughts for me on High Jinx which led me to select him in the comp <ok>

1.55 York LANDSMAN 14/1 each-way
They've been fiddling this horse for it's last few runs. If the handbrakes off today you'll see a big improvement. I've chanced him as an each way punt.

2.25 York- DARTMOUTH- 4/1

I had previously napped the Mullins runner in this race in the competition. However I had a look at this race in quite a bit of depth last nite and it completely changed my view(although I have broken the number one rule in betting - never change your mind- and I got stung by that yesterday too- damn pundits!!)Thomas Hobson has the pace to find dropping back to 2m plus he has Crowley on board. But Dartmouth over 2m is still massively unexposed he won the Yorkshire cup here earlier in the season against what you could argue a much stronger field than this with endless time and Marmelo both coming out to win Group 3 and 2 races respectively. His last run he went off 9/4 fav in the hardwicke and finished a decent 4th, when you could argue he wasn't at his best that day. The step up to 2m looks only to suit him and is the only horse to win a group race this year. Plus the fact SMS had a big winner on Wednesday and fully expect him to be able to give the 3lbs to the field and give her majesty her first (and only ) winner of the meeting
FFS thought he had it! Great race tho well done to David for having him!!

4 15 York - Sha La La La Lee 40/1

2 15 Ffos Las - Data Protection 16/1

Just 2 e/w fancies today

Interested to see what my cousin says about the newmarket race tomorrow, i'm gunna be all over Tropics regardless as opposed to Lancelot as imo i still think Tropics is the better horse, gone a bit purple last year but could really exploit that mark of 97 and this 20/1 predicted could be made to look silly

Lovely jubbly first one in, shame about the 30p rule 4 or whatever it was though
