I am the walrus.

They are the egg men.

Pecky little bastards mind, them elementary penguins.

Best avoided if you're going to attempt this walk. Taste ****e anarl.

Take a couple of Huskies, you'll be fine.

BTW, it'll impress the birds more if you do it without the map.

And a sense of smell counts...

Is there any resemblance Ernie?
I've been there (S Georgia). Stayed in Grytvykken (sobering place), but got the chance of a jolly.

Landed on the beach from a Lynx with just the aircrew and ships captain. Think it was the same place Life in the Freezer was filmed.

Huge valley full of penguins.

**** me do they smell bad. Rotten fish ****e smell.

Got some nice photos mind.

I know what you mean, I have done the Falklands once, for fishing reasons not military. But flew from Brize Norton, as that was the only way then to get there. The whole place smells of fish, but I love it.

Did the Falklands twice, but was very lucky to get on a ship that spent a week along side at S Georgia, and I got to go ashore and stay in Shackleton House. A truly beautiful and haunting place. The side of the harbour where the Whaling Industry was based was strange. There was a little museum there, but all these buildings which are deserted and slowly decaying, all snow covered. Evidence of what happened during whaling all around, which I understand at the time was necessary, but now you just think "Jesus Christ, they could walk from one side of the harbour to the other on the corpses of dead whales".

But, as cute as they look, penguins smell bloody awful.

You know the urban myth about how a swan could break a mans arm?

I took a photo of one of my mates trying to hold a penguin. Not for owt saucy ya dirty bastard.

He couldn't hold it still by its wings, they're small but powerful, then it pecked him in the thigh, made him scream and it ****ed off, waddling away looking really pissed off. I did mention to him that it didn't look scared of him when he was stalking it.

He had a small hole in his leg and a massive bruise for weeks and I was sworn to secrecy. So don't tell anyone else.

Why are you over there anyway, was we boring you? Get your fat arse back on here where you belong.
I thought the referendum was interesting
and then this summer there was hardly any football talk
maybe it's picking up now we are into the last week of the window
but trying to recover from losing all of our best players was going to be a tall order
I really enjoyed "Ehab, Ehab, give us a wave" at QPR. He even waved back with the predictable response! :-)
