Would of thought a Long upgrade. His wife was talking about new adventures etc the other week.
Burnley sniffing around a lot of other strikers and him and his missus are very family focused and would rather stay in the south of England. Reading would suit him best but they haven't got the £££ now parachute payments are gone.
Brighton or Bournemouth could be an option for him though if he thinks he needs to leave us

Agreed. If selling Long, I'd think two additions: a creative mid who can operate in the number ten role, and a cheapish backup striker (maybe on loan, given that we're talking about a third choice).
If we need a back up striker, I'd rather keep Long. I'm only interested in losing Shane if we get an up grade and competition.
I don't think Long provides any competition. He's also only going down in value. I'd rather sell now and invest in a brighter prospect.
Agreed, Shane is useful to bring on when the game gets stretched at the end of a game, and is different to other forwards we have.
