Apart from some occasional nice quick passing play mainly early on, we weren't really in that. We lost the midfield battle, the front two were totally ineffective, and the defense was tested enough to draw the inevitable errors. Losing Pavel hurt us too. The positives were Smithies saves, Perch saving tackles and Bidwell getting forward well 1st half.

Very true.

We played well for the first 15-20 mins.
After the Paweł Wszołek induced change of formation we were 2nd best.

We also clearly lacked bite in attack.

If Mackie has been our answer so far f*ck knows what the question is. Perhaps what is most worrying is we don't appear to have a 'Plan B', whenever things go against us we seem to be incapable of having an impact on a game, just like last season but a bit fitter...

Their second is just one of those screamers that occasionally goes in. We should have scored when their keeper spilled. First goal was just poor.
I'm not sure it's fair to say normal service resumed etc.
We lost one game which most of us expected to lose having won one and drawn another that most of us also expected to lose.
Please can we keep some perspective?!

Like Col I hate the budgies with a passion (well, maybe not quite to Col's level), but hardly an unexpected result.
That said, the team has done better than predicted so far. Another few tough games lined up and we shall see the ability of the manager to raise the team for Hull; but also see what mettle this team has to fight back and get back the need to win. Both will be crucial this season ... oh, and a cohesive defence that doesn't offer runway approaches for attackers to score!

Sounds like we had sufficient effort but just lacked a bit of quality, which I can live with.

Those highlights don't reflect our first half performance which I'm told was pretty good.

I can handle losing but losing to a team that has not won so far this season, sux!
We should not be playing any team into form.
That is my biggest bugbear.
