yeah the everton signings are a very mixed bag. some punts, some good improvements. For me to be happy. 1. prove me wrong. just prove you have not been lying to us. (not klopp par se but seriously i can't believe this stuff) 2. If we sell take all cash no add ons and no installments. I think this might be whats holding up the coutinho deal personally. Just get a good deal. 3. I think LFC need the spine of the team strengthened. I think we are too weak as CB to go into this season and I think we are weak at CM also. We tried and have so far failed. to have targeted then signed nobody is i think many would agree tantamount to giving up on the season before its started. Its a difficult market fine... klopp says theres not many better players out there....ok.... but we know where we blew up last year. we know where the huge risks in the injuries are.. 4. finally the real thing i would like is anfield road end news I would really like to hear we build this as it would at least give us a 61k stadium or so (if we are to beleive rumours ) and be some sort of outcome from this bubble of cash we are seeing.
This really confirms that food chain analogy. The ones at the top eat the ones on a rank below who gobble up the ones below them and so on. Really shows who the big beasts are and who are lowest ranked. And our behaviour towards Southampton reflect Barca's towards us. The Saints fans will be as annoyed at LFC's behaviour as we are towards Barca's and their underhand tactics. PSG >Barca >LFC> Southampton. Reflection of the clubs' financial muscle.
I do worry about Klopp's stubborn attitude when it comes to transfers. The fact he hasn't yet considered alternatives to Keita, insisting that its Keita or no-one is a poor way to go about transfers. Think this is a bad move especially in England where competition for the top spots is everything and is hugely competitive, in most leagues across Europe the big clubs can afford to wait as they are already miles ahead of the other clubs in their leagues, can't do that here. Then there is the VvD saga. Again talking to a player or getting your squad to talk to a prospective buy might be something you can get away with in Europe as they're all at it, but English clubs will scream bloody murder when it happens here (probably with good reason, nobody wants a player poached that way).
With regard to the Anfield Road extension they said they would wait to see how successful the main stand was and then re-assess. Also seen reports that success in the CL could advance the plans. Well we're in it, sort of, so that's a small hurdle crossed.
How exactly? We tapped up a player, nothing new or unique to us there. Where's all the reports saying VVD's signed for us, is being unveiled in a matter of days ..... We offered over the odds for VVD, Barca came in low for Coutinho. There's no similarity in behaviour other than we both want a player from another club who don't want to sell.
Ok so I've been out working all day. A few questions: 1) have we signed anyone else? 2) Has there been any official comment from the club about players in or out? 3) are Barca flying into London or Dortmund today? I wonder if when they want to negotiate with Dortmund, they fly to Berlin!? If the answers are no, no, either or both, then we are officially in Groundhog Day.
We've been reading the same old crap for days now. They just keep re-wording it to make it seem fresh to the gullible.
You offered over the odds with what people think VVD is worth but not over the odds what Southampton think he's worth. Plus you had a secret meeting with VVD. As for Couts, barca have offered what they believe is far for Coutinho (is he worth more than lukaku? debateable) whereas you guys think they haven't offered enough (as it is the right of the seller to set the price). Both speaking to players behind the clubs back first (standard) before an offer is accepted thus 'unsettling' both players
No, unless Soton say we can. Difference is that we've told Barca that Ford is not for sale, and they've responded by secretly agreeing a contract with the player and briefing their stooges in the Catalan and English media on a daily basis.
Nah. Tapping up maybe, but we all know everybody does that. But when did we put out (supposedly) official statements saying it's all over bar the shouting and offer journos invites to the unveiling? There's a food chain, and we're lower than Barca, but there's also a ****bag hierarchy, and we're nowhere near them on that.
You will have agreed provisional terms with VVD though, nailed on. But you got caught tapping him up, so had to back off before making an actual offer for the player. At least Barca had the decency to make an actual bid to accompany their tapping up tbf like.
