No issues with selling Coutinho because him leaving for a club like Barca is inevitable - but its criminal to let him go this late on in the window with no replacement in sight.

Re. western Union - not sure why there is a lot of anger - it's a small logo and it raises £25m over the next 5 years. In a market where prices are inflated, we need all the money we can get.

That's my opinion. Great player but can be replaced if we were given time. We would have 3 weeks to try and find a player of similar quality which would be hard to find.

Next season, more than happy to leave. He's not the same quality of players we've let go before.

True but he's still our best player and I would hate to lose him.

I do think this is the season where we see him at his best playing at CM.

he's entering his prime now ...

Agree on both.

Selling Couts, well its inevitable at some point and all footballers move on eventually anyway and if we receive a £120m+ fee for him its a lot of money. Its already been a frustrating transfer window, not getting the targets we set our sights on and the amateur hour that has been the VvD transfer. So I worry about losing Couts as I don't trust our people to find the right player to replace him, or even to replace him at all.

The sponsorship and commercial streams are one thing I can't fault FSG on, clearly this is their area of expertise and before they came the club was still in the dark ages about this. I just wish we saw these revenues being used for transfers.

I totally agree too. It is just natural thing. A south american is always going to end up in Spain, we all know it. Its purely a case of when and how.

We signed him up on a long deal and all thought great now we are quids in and can plan on for future. Its purely a case that I can't believe a word out of LFC on it at this point... not due to any Barca antics , we all see though those but due to LFC antics which we've seen too many times before.

Its as simple as this. We all know the score as LFC fans, we can see the train wreak panic buy coming. We also don't want southampton crowing cos we caved and they didn't but thats a very small thing.

The REAL concern is LFC didn't look really right for the season with the work thus far, we all saw last seasons issues and the high risk the same blow up will happen so now we add in failed transfers and the coutinho goes and 6th or even 7th is staring at us.... IF coutinho goes we could have as much as 250mil available for transfers (if we ever beelived both vvd and ketia were affordable at 70 apeice) and nobody to buy with it...

So yeah.. trust LFC scouts to buy 4 top top players for both the now and for 2/3 years time out of the funds... hmmmmm, not so much.

I really don't care on the sponsorship thing, it was rather odd but JB thankfully clarified teams will be doing this going forward after premier league opened it up.

Hilarious some of you guys posting pics up to see how happy Couts is in them get a grip ffs<laugh>

yup they don't need to convince me that coutinho is a lovely lad and was happy before barca poked their noses in.

they need to wait for klopp's presser and the training pics to come out. News that he can train and had trained would go some but of course if there was news of that and he then didn't play v watford serious questions would be asked.

We will get players in. Whether it's VVD or Keita we will get players in. As a club we can't deluded thinking LB, LW and a young striker will sort us for this season.

we scraped top 4 last season and we players like Henderson, Lallana and Sturridge are too injury prone to be trusted.

One thing Klopp won't do is panic buy. To the outsider i.e. us fans, it looks like all the eggs were in one basket, but we really haven't got a clue what's gone on have we. I can't say I trust Klopp to know what's he's doing after the utter VVD shambles but I also don't distrust him either, if that makes sense.

He always said he had first and last say and that's proving 100% true as we also haven't seen a raft of players not really what we want à la Everton's dealings this window.

What would you be happy with come the end of the window mito?

AND - the photos I posted weren't about smiles ... what?? ... they're about his presence and full participation in all training sessions.
