So what ? It's just money that is handed to the Club's by the likes of Sky. It has no real value since it isn't actually earned.
Next season they will dole out more, and the transfer fees will go even higher.
Transfer fees increase year on year, but now they are rising at an even faster, more alarming rate.
Wages are also following a similar trend.

Anyone remember the financial crash that took place some ten years or so ago ?
What's to prevent something similar happening, but this time within the footballing world ?
Club's are stretching themselves so much to compete with the really heavy spending of those owned by the billionaires who have a never ending supply of dirty/stolen money to top up Sky funding, that it can only end in tears.

With fans' of more modest outfits demanding that their Club compete and spend, spend, and then spend some more, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.
I firmly believe, hope even, that the Premier League is on borrowed time.

I hope The Swans' have a rainy day fund tucked away somewhere.

Posted with my usual caveat that my opinion is not written in stone.

Six seasons so far , averaging 11 or 12 in the table , the only team that has a net spend in the black and somehow we are pathetic . We had a lot of players in that price range Dai , used them and sold them for a profit or kept them and been very " Successful " within our limits

Unless you've already got deals in place for your incomings the extra few £m you squeeze out of us will be eaten up by clubs who know that you've made us overpay, and thus what you have in the kitty.

You'll end up gaining **** all, in fact the longer it drags on, the worse your desperation will get when the cheque finally lands, and the more you'll overpay yourselves.

i thought he was overpriced at £30m, but City paying £50m for Walker, made me realise the market is off its tits, to an extent that's barely comprehensible.

Yup. I think I mentioned this on your board. With City paying £100m for 2 fullbacks, Gylfi is worth at least £50m.

Saying that, when you consider you mugged City of £50m for Stones and Juve mugged Utd £90m for Pogba, all of a sudden, £50m sounds cheap.

The Premiership is run for the Benefit of the top 6 clubs and not for the rest of us ...We just make up the numbers and it is costing us a fortune just to be here. The gap has widened too much between the top who can spend any amount of money and not care. They can buy players that they know wont even get in the side because they have so much money. But for the rest of us we are being forced if we want a quality player to pay well over the odds and we do have to worry what we spend....We are at a point now that well over 80% of all income goes on wages and taxes and insurance and agent fees........How much longer before the bubble bursts and the lesser clubs like us go out of business......

You're as delusional as your clubs board of directors tobes if you think we're desperate. You do sound a tad bitter to me though? are you?

Buy or sell, it doesn't matter to us, we look great whatever happens unlike you guys who've got no more face to lose.

As I see it, it breaks down like this,
Scenario 1: We sell Sigurdsson to you for £50m,that's a ridiculous amount. You pay the stupid money for Siggy and in doing so make yourselves look like an easy touch in negotiations, a club easily manipulated, cajoled and, dare I say it, bullied into paying way over the market value for a player worth half what you paid.

Scenario 2: Everton walk away, after all the effort you and the 'press' have put in too to get Siggy or at least destabilise him. If you do this then you'll have made yourselves look like boardroom clowns, ducking one minute and diving the next. It will be hard for any one 'negotiating' with you in the future to take you seriously.

Scenario 3: You do nothing, you dither around no knowing what to do for the best, your board ends up looking indecisive, clueless even.

Whatever you decide you'll be hard pushed to gain any dignity from any scenario. Whatever you decide we'll support you :D Thanks for the juice

Back to you guys now but tobes, mate, if I can ask, what with all this talk about Sigurdsson I've forgot all about your own £50m, midfielder. Is Ross Barkley, remember him? is he still giving you guys the bird by not signing the contract your board is trying to ram down his throat?

Without Sigurdsson you'd have gone down last season, that's why your club have put a price tag on him that is meant to deter suitors.

Only the player wants the move, and every day it drags on, it makes replacing your star man at a vaguely sensible price even harder. You can't move for his successor until his departure is confirmed.

If we pay the asking, it doesn't make us look weak daft lad, did City look weak by paying the daft asking for Walker?

We'd just be slapping you in the face with our cock, as we wander off with your star man mate ;)

How do you know we would have gone down Tobes ? Sunderland and hull saved us from relegation and beating Everton was just a confirmation and a bonus....We ended up safe before the season ended not because we were good but because Hull bottled it....
