And that shows what a pathetic club we are .....It is know wonder nobody thinks we will survive another season..
The price is £50M Pay it or **** off. They are £10M short Ten ****en Million !!! That's way off the asking price. It's not as if they don't know what we're asking for. Are they stupid ? I'm actually proud that we, as a less wealthy club are finally standing up to a moneybags club and not bending over for them. How dare we not let them have it all their own way. Jeez.
Does this surprise you Dai ? This is how it is supposed to be isn't it ? We sell our best players every season, and they pay a pittance for replacements in the hope they come good. This is the attitude that perpetuates through the less wealthy clubs isn't it ?
Enjoy musty,as I know you will. God speed. Edit sorry musty......Croatia is fabulous.People,food,everything. Mind you so is (was) Levos. But I shall return to see my friends there.
Man City are lunatics at best. If Everton really want Sigurdsson they will up their offer to 50 mill. Then we can all get about our business. Football dealings can be so tedious.
We ended the tour with a wimper. A 0-0 effort against a 2nd tier team who used 3 keepers.....It was another embarrassing Game that showed our many flaws......If you cant beat a 2nd tier American side and lose against a league 2 side in the UK then you know you are a weak side that will struggle big time in the premiership.....We can make all the excuses under the sun but the facts are there for all to see......We are a poor side and no amount of Gylfi or Llorente will make much of a difference......
We'll, have Everton made a bid? no direct or verifiable quotes in the press to confirm any offer. Same for us, have we rejected anything? again no quotes, only reports with words like "believed to have" to go on and little more. If Everton have made a bid and we have rejected it then, if we didn't know before we sure know now. This whole saga has little or nothing to do with the actual sale of Sigurdsson. What this is if the reports are true, is a good old school yard brawl between a naughty kid picking on a naive kid hoping to pinch his ipod. Thing is the naive kid turned out to be a bit of a ninja and was able to fend off his attacker by cuffing him in the moolies, making all the other kids in the yard laugh at the naughty kid. Classic school yard action In grown up terms it seems Everton tried to pull a fast one and in doing so really pissed us off. What Everton didn't realise when they went behind everyone backs to make an illicit deal with Sigurdsson was, our board know all about making illicit deals behind everyone's back and so were able to defend themselves. Something good come from the take over shenanigans after all. Again, if reports are true then it appears we are remaining belligerent over the whole affair and are demanding our pound of flesh, £50m, to cover the cost of replacing Siggy and as reparation for their indiscretions and disrespect. If we do get £50m for Siggy it will be like we've made Everton freely give us the money we are in truth stealing off them.
It would appear our new owners are vertebrates! Something this club has not seen in some time. Hopefully the days of selling our best players for pittance - whilst the likes of Southampton laugh their way to the banks - are over! The price is £50m Everton. Put up or shut up. Chelsea wants Llorente? Fine, £30m. £80m for a club like ours will go a long, long way. Just keep Jenkins away from the ****ing transfers.
But their lunacy has affected the value of every player, regardless of level or ability. Because of them, an average player will now cost £10-15m
As with all Chelsea players it is tough for them to break into the first team, more so for strikers. So if he does well he may be with us for a couple of seasons then Chelsea can see if he is worth keeping or selling. For most of these youngsters the chance to play first team football in the premier league is a huge draw. I think he will be good for us after all anyone who can come of the bench grab a goal an maybe change a game is just what we need at the moment.
