1. Slutz is a tactical genius with fabulous contacts
2 Slutz is average and with very few contacts; only the media bigged him up & only Hull City was blinded
3. Slutz is an opportunist who wanted to get into a potentially lucrative market no matter what level or wherever he would have to start.
4. Slutz is an affable chancer and will give it a go
5. Slutz has pedigree but is very likely to walk due to a distinct lack of incoming players and the hemorrhaging of what was there

Pick one or please add you own additions if none of the above are acceptable
Or 6 can we get just one meaningless match played before we hang him

Tbf I don't like coffee :)

All seriousness though, I don't just defend them, when they do wrong in my eyes I will say, as I have before! At the moment the window is still wide open and there is still a hell of a lot of time to go and business to be done in the window.....i personally won't pull them to bits while they still have time to sign players and improve the squad. If the window shuts and they haven't done it then fair enough I'll say my bit and air my view on how poorly they have done.

I want quality in the window, not just early signings to keep me happy

Fair enough, but you don't seem to acknowledge that, by his own standard announced at the end of the season, Ehab has failed. Failed to get 90% of their transfer dealings done by the start of pre-season, then it was 2 or 3 in time for Portugal, all in line with a plan to be extremely competitive at the top of the Championship this season. As things stand, we have 1 young and inexperienced right back on loan from Chelsea. Meanwhile, we have allowed a mini-exodus to take place, leaving us without enough senior pros to actually fill a starting eleven and bench. Chances are, we still have more to leave, with Clucas, Grosicki and Elmo at least 50/50 to go before the season starts. Hardly an encouraging environment with which to entice these 'quality' signings to the club is it?

We've got no team left, we've lost players to Aberdeen and Fleetwood Town this window, but it's okay as it doesn't upset you personally.

You post apologist ****e, I can pull you up on any part of your posts, they're all really ****y. <laugh>

Everyone who disagree's with you or has an opinion that is their own is an Apologist to you.

Yes yours are different to mine, yet I still don't resort to personal insults where as you do.... Just shows the intelligence level of who I'm talking to ;)

So a player chooses to go play his football somewhere else it means our club is falling to bits and the owners are ****? Seriously stop being a complete ****ing knob jockey for once and look at it from a football point of view....maybe just maybe they went Because they where getting more chance of first team football? Maloney has been here ages and has never had a good run of first team football and at his point in his career he maybe just wants games? Same with the young lad....maybe he wants to leave to play games to further his career in the long term?

Just because you don't agree or like what I post doesn't mean it's ****y..... I think your a complete bellend who likes to pretend he knows more then he actually does and also gets off on the fact people lap up your constant put down of anyone who doesn't follow your line or bow down to the "big I am" that is OLM, but I wouldn't call your posts ****y, I'd just call them another way you like to have your ego massaged ;)

Wonderful

He made a mistake by putting a time frame on it, he is and has been his own worst enemy, but on the other hand he was Mybe just trying to give fans reassurance and telling them what they wanted to hear? The mini exodus has been players we couldn't stop did to contracts or players that will not be missed if we sign the quality I think we will, obviously Harry is a huge miss and can't be replaced nor did we have to sell him, but he was always going to go during this summer and we got good money

Far from only interested in myself, I can quite confidently say hull city has probably been a bigger part of my life then most on here, although maybe not for longer! I've not only supported them, I've been through the youth system and also worked for the club for a number of years, along with the fa and various other clubs..... I don't like what the club has become over the last 2yrs, but I also see the good things the allams have done ( not many I know) that arnt easily visible to everyone, their time had been and gone, it's time they moved on and a new broom swept clean. I also recognise the things they have done wrong, a lot if which where posted a few posts back!

I just personly don't see the point in getting personal about it, or letting it get to me as so many do on here, I will continue to watch the team no matter what happens of the field and not let of the field issues spoil the match day for me, new owners will no doubt come and those new owners will no doubt make a lot of people happier then the allams, but on the other hand they will also I've no doubt upset some people with things they do it don't do.

Jimmy Savile did a lot of good. Ah well swings & roundabouts.

Good post. I am sure all fans are disappointed thay Ehab has failed in his early pre-season predictions and we have not already signed a new squad of world beaters for peanuts. I dont think he will be happy about it either. But the bigger picture is more important. Why bring in Slutsky if he just wanted a yes man? I think we will be ready for Villa. It may be more loans than signings but I think we will be giving it a go without breaking the bank. Deals like Ryan Kent are clearly their current thinking.

Workmate from St Helens and Liverpool obsessive says word back home is Robertson deal done Tuesday and does include loan to us.apparently most Liverpool fans not that overwhelmed.

Personally, I think the likes of experienced pros like Davies, and Huddlestone jumping ship has been quite telling, as well as unnecessary. On both occasions we have belatedly chucked a contract at them after we appeared to be caught by surprise when Derby hit their very low release clauses. If we actually wanted them to stay, it would have been prudent to sit them down at the end of the season or as soon as Slutsky arrived to outline their role and offer them a new deal then. Both have alluded to the chaos of the transfer window (Huddz comparing our previous relegation where we kept the nucleus of the squad, and Davies seemingly unwilling to go through the chaos of last summer again. Even Maloney talked about issues around the club at the end of the season.)
With Robertson, I think we all expected him to go, though £8m to Liverpool seems, again, very low given the market, and Tymon justs seems a mess-up all round. As for Harry, I don't think Leicester will be thinking we pulled their pants down over the £!2m + add-ons they paid.
I don't think any of this is very encouraging to the likes of Clucas, Hernandez or Grosicki who could be key to us this season, let alone any 'quality' signings we might want to pursue.
