Virgil takes to the skies Sadly, he’s heading to Austr please log in to view this image ia with Southampton. You just get the feeling it’s slipping away, don’t you?
You thought we'd only get £50m for Lukaku; you just pulled in £50m for Stones and are expecting about the same for Lukaku http://www.not606.com/threads/pjust...s-mastertactician.328204/page-23#post-9902136
Think by todays crazy standards 50m is prob about right, think it will benefit him to get out of Everton now, and Everton tbf. Whatever reason it has soured quite badly there for him. He looked a very promising talent and he has had a bad year. This season is probably crucial for him. Normally i would be saying stay and fight at his club but the situation looks bad for him there. Change of scenery will make or break him. There is no doubting he has potential though. And 50m seems about right at the moment. (Sadly) In fact (braces himself) - i would love us to take a chance on him
The idea of "value" seems out of the window at present so almost any fee is possible for anyone. Barclay needs to move as cannot see him staying at Everton because he sign a contract & i think he wants to move. we will then know if he doesn't take the next step upwards in terms of progression that he is just another talented youngster who stalled at a certain level rather than the real deal. For him the worry has to be all other clubs wait till he is available on a free & he spends a season rotting at Everton.
Yeah - its a good point, he cant back up a poor season with a sat doing nothing season, cant see him coming back from that. Hope for his sake he gets the move, lots of potential in that lad.
i admit to not watching Everton avidly but has he really progressed at all in the last few years in which case has he fulfilled his potential ?
I dont watch him enough to comment on that, obviously in the derby he was over pumped, need one of the toffees to give an unbiased view, but dont think its too late for him. Think he needs the change.
Epic comprehension #fail there That post was about you expecting a lot of money coming in so you couldn't cry poverty to the Peel Group, not about Lukaku's maximum price BTW after agents fee the price to Everton is closer to £50m than £90m
Who cried poverty to Peel? Didn't we just pay up like? What part of United are paying the agents fees did you struggle with yesterday btw? If you had even the vaguest clue, you'd understand why that snake took such a large slice of the Pogba fee btw, he didn't have the same arrangement regarding Lukaku's registration.
This. Can't see any club that can afford 50m seeing him as pivotal to the season ahead so therefore must buy now. Would be cruel to keep that stance if he were to hand in a transfer request.
don't you remember after your "deal should be announced in a few weeks" post it then dragged out for most of a year? So the Pogba deal, and every other deal in football history, has the fee quoted including the agent fee, but Lukaku's deal is the first to now be quoted without it?
Fair enough Think i just have to get my head around the vast amounts being bandied around by the big clubs now - just seems so bonkers
no transfer fee should include agent fees or come to that any other expenses . Still fail to understand how agents can work for all parties in a transaction whilst still act in good faith
But in terms of financial reporting you can't have associated payments excluded otherwise you don't have to #fake the accounts like Abramovich by giving £30m to China so they can "pay" £60m for Oscar and boost their FFP budget
