I think some reality needs to enter the conversation.

1. Moreno for sale. No lb bought. Are we waiting to sell him to then replace.

2. Sakho ditto.

3..markovic to be sold but we did buy salah.

Now the 45mil proposed for the two Defenders wont buy replacements on its own but i think some common sense suggests there is some link between selling and buying in some positions even if its just pure squad size.

Also.... the fees being touted for our targets are at least 20 and maybe 30 mil beyond us. We need to wait and see who.is actually bought.

Finally we are investing 50 mil at Kirkby and hestiating to put 40 mil into the anfield road end... so... these giant fees dont add up.

These are the reasons to my mind why i can play the game with jimmy in particular and some others too as im sure 70mil.is just beyond us

Liverpool's fitness test results?
This is an interesting - but unverified - tidbit over in Nigeria.
Website ‘All Nigeria Soccer’ have claimed Dominic Solanke came second in Liverpool’s pre-season fitness tests at Melwood last week.
James Milner was top.
Those tests are usually held on the first few days to see how everybody is coping after their summer ‘off’.
If true, then no surprise Solanke was in peak condition given he hasn’t long finished his World Cup winning campaign with England Under-20s.

Solanke is 19 and has the advantage of youth, Milner's a committed freak who looks after himself.

Amadou Makadji is a Belgium-based reporter for Guinea football website foot224.net. He knows Keita well and has covered his rise from prodigy to one of the most exciting young talents in European football.
What’s been the reaction in Guinea to Liverpool’s pursuit of Keita?
Guinea people love football but they rarely get the chance to see their players joining big clubs in Europe. They are so proud to know that a great team like Liverpool are trying to sign Naby Keita.
Before now, only a few Guinean players have had the chance to play for big clubs in Europe. Pablo Thiam (Bayern Munich), Titi Camara (Marseille, Liverpool), Bobo Balde (Celtic).
